The goal in the second half is to get Dillingham and Shep 10 assists each. Has that ever happened before?
This team just doesn't play reckless basketball.
As someone who didn't want to play like Alabama, we don't. We are shooting a ton of 3's but they are not forced. It is coming from the ball movement and spacing. The ball control of this team is astonishing...especially considering the relative youth of backcourt.

Making fun of those who (rightfully) are saying that this Marshall team is a big disadvantage this game, but saying we probably need to do a better job defending the 3? We'll be playing our clone in Miami.
You definitely will not see that with this defense. This is like crowing when you dunk on a toddler. You want to get past the first weekend, play defense.
Dilly is the biggest surprise for me so far. I think he’s our best guard.

I'm really not worried about defense in the slightest. You start focusing on hard-nosed defense for 30 seconds every possession and you'll find your shots on the other end start coming up short.
The game has never been more offensive-focused. Lean into that.
Not to mention, we don;t have any bigs. And opposing teams know this. I'm not going to worry much about our guards trying to stop drives and run 3pointers when the opponent knows we have no size inside.
It might be a bit different with a 7 footer back there.
