TU-40, San Joser St. 13. The Joser's vaunted pass D gets torched by Evans & Co. while the TU defense shows signs of vast improvement over last year. TU Football: 1st,last,always!

I read their board and someone salute sated their pass defense, which was really good last year, would give us problems and we would eventually have to give up the run. One thing is certain about our coach: we never ever give up running the ball, by golly!

Sorry but this one worries me.
Don't give SJSU too much credit. This is a team that was 5-7 BEFORE the bowl game and got in because they had a higher APR than other 5-7 teams. Reading about them they are starting 3 newcomers in the DB, so our offense and style is a bad matchup for them for the 1st game. They are starting a new left tackle...should be in our favor with our DEs being productive returning guys and with Suits or Linscott coming off the edge at times. Our OL should be better than last year...our DBs should be much better than last year. SJSU is not coming in with the even same type of talent on offense that FAU had coming into the home opener last year. In the reading I have done on SJSU they will be really green in some key positions whereas we have some great experience and lots of returning talent on both sides of the ball.

They also have a kid who transferred in but was rated the 2nd best receiver in California at one time, some other high profile transfers from Pac-12 schools, and several of their games last season were decided by a small spread. If their offense is effecient like it has been, and our defense looks anything like last year's, and if our passing attacked pulls what it did at ECU last year.... We'll be in trouble. Add that to the fact that there isn't any recent tape on their defensive coordinators scheme, and that SJSU had had all summer to prepare for us and I'm weary of the game.

We should win, but a loss wouldn't be coming out of nowhere for me either.

Won't make a prediction but heat and pace of play will make this a very challenging game for SJSU in a season opener. Watch for cramps and fatigue on both sides.

Despite the fact that Lee Corso just picked San Jose over Tulsa as his underdog pick on Gameday,
