He is the 114TH ranked overall portal entry and # 24 WR , This Kid is good and is a burner , perfect slot and Wetjen replacement
The portal must be loaded with WRs. Roughly 1 out of every 4 or 5 in the top 100

BTW came across an interesting stat. Roughly 1/3 of players entering the portal don't get a D1 offer from another team.

I continue to be baffled when people wonder why we don't go for and/or can't land big fish WR transfers in the portal. Yeah the offense is improved but we're still the 127th passing offense in the country. If you were a top WR recruit/transfer and wanted to put your skills on display for NFL scouts, would you choose Iowa? Lol.
Yet Wisky can continue to pull decent recruits at QB and other skill slots. They have absolutely blown under Fickell.

I'm not questioning that. I'm questioning why we aren't all in on some high caliber DT/DE since we aren't spending on a QB.

Back to your other point... what in the world happened to Seth Anderson. He didn't seem so bad as to not get any game reps. He completely disappeared this year.
You need a QB to get them the ball. Gronowski was a move in the right direction, but he missed a decent amount of opportunities.

You could see him improve in the last 3 to 4 games of the year. I think it was a lot of learning the system yet. He himself stated a lot was mental and learning the NFL style offense compared to what he came from. Had he been in during spring ball I think we would have seen a better version of him for more of the season.

Not going to happen, but former Iowa commit Kendrick Raphael (RB) is in the portal from Cal, put up 993 yards rushing last year.

I don't recall his name as ever being an actual commit. What year are you saying that happened? Edit: never mind I found it, 2023. The interweb is my friend.

Iowa taking a look at Evan Dickens a RB from Liberty, put up solid numbers over 1300 yards rushing last year. Transferred from GT to Liberty. He's been to BC and UNC already, hopefully the hawks land a visit.

That's def a take if the opportunity is there. Moulton/McNeil/Williams a nice trio but most teams carry at least 5 RB's and several were banged up this year. I think he was 5th nationally among running back with yards from scrimmage. A HR threat would be nice especially with the OL rebuilding a bit.

Agreed, I do wonder if that signals a depletion of that stable. I guess we will see by the 16th who enters.

I know, I know yet imagine a Kaleb Johnson running behind this OL this year, man alive he would've housed a few of those runs and probably another win or two for sure I'd wager. A burner like Damian Sims would be nice or someone who doesn't get caught from behind. Moulton is an everydown back but seemed to always be a cut away or just get tripped up...

As Lando Calrissian once said, "Hello, what have we here?"

Perhaps Iowa made an impression on him in the bowl game?

Looks like the hawks might be looking at Colin Amick, a freshman AA OT transferring from Montana.
Visiting ISU as well. First head to head recruiting battle vs new ISU staff. No mention of Iowa in the mix though.

Edit: now committed to ISU.

Iowa is acting like they are a poverty program with who they are targeting in the portal
Reality check- we are nil collective poor relatively speaking among the rich power 4 schools like Texas tech, IU,ill,USC, Oregon, UWash, PSU OSU,mich, ect.
