The crystal ball tracker on TOS is interesting. Looks like Josh Hoover is going to Indiana. Surprised they can’t get someone better with their track record.

It’s also notable which recruits are already predicted to go to Penn State and which ones aren’t from ISU. Based upon that and the Nuggets that kicker dropped, I wonder if we are going to get Patton and maybe Burkle. He mentioned a tight end which was surprising to me.

Have you seen Josh hoover? He put up almost 3500 yards passing this year, I'm assuming he has offers from all over. Iowa probably won't go after Burkle given their depth at TE.

I don’t know, I guess the games I’ve seen I haven’t been that impressed. He’s not bad. I just thought they could’ve gone after someone better after the success they’ve had.

Agree on Burkle, only reason I mentioned him is kicker, said in the most recent podcast to watch the former ISU players. Specifically those in and near Iowa, and then specifically the secondary and a tight end.

We wanted him before and got a visit prior to his Oregon commitment so I'm guessing we would be interested now.
It will be interesting to see, his little brother doesn't currently hold an offer from the 2027 class but is followed by Barnes.

Blair put eyeballs on the Xpost of Him entering , I think Iowa might be on Him , That would make Estringer and Perich as Safeties and push Lutmer to cash , Lee is back, Get the other corner figured and that is one of the best 3rd levels in College football
If you have a solid back 4 on defense I would leave Lutmer on the field all the time in cash situations as the wide side lbkr because he can motor, bust up those WR screens and I bet hold up in the run game

He is a great player and otherwise we will have 2-3 new Lbkrs on the field

About 2 years too late, I wouldn’t pay more than whatever the minimum is that you give your current WRs. He should have seen the writing on the wall after 2 years when they kept grabbing WRs out of the portal over him.
definitely too late; it’s gonna take more than a year to polish that overpriced turd

Abu Sama will be visiting Wisky as well. Fickell is probably in a win or be fired mode, but not sure where they are coming up with all of this money from.
I believe AD talked about more resources when he threw his support behind Fickell around mid season.

I'm not going to freak out about small-school guys. Still don't understand why we seemingly aren't even trying to get MAC-level or other G5 guys, but it is what it is at this point. Would be more interested in seeing what other schools the small-school players are visiting.

Looks like the vultures are starting to circle now that our season is over.

Money bags are coming right and left to try to poach our incumbent players for next year.

Should be fun times over the next couple of months.

The NFL is full of small school guys. Now with NIL they can transfer to D1 based on the player they are now instead of still being judged by a meaningless high school ranking from years ago. That's one great thing (maybe the only one) about the portal process, the guys that actually improved get rewarded now for the work they've put in instead of having to wait until they graduate.

There's 3k players in the portal. Many from quality schools that we could pick up. Not saying guys from FCS and D2 can't play, but your odds are better getting a guy from an FBS level team.

I have to trust the coaches to evaluate the talent regardless of level. I also look at who else is pursuing a player as a gauge of their potential and upside. I remember reading somewhere that we can be pretty quiet about some interest because the coaches don't want other programs to jump on players we identify.

If Kirk would not have offered Bob Sanders late He would have went to Ohio, Kittle, Dallas Clark , Guys are late bloomers and recruiting misses every Year and Iowa is very good at finding Them 20+ Years of evidence proves this
