If it doesn't say "official", then it has not been sanctioned by the NCAA.
Now, what I am doing with this thread is keeping track of some things that I find interesting. Admittedly, we may not share the same interests, so I encourage you to let me know that you find none of the content herein interesting with a post stating such.
Now on to the fun.

DH thru 2 games as a starter: 405 yds - 67% - 2TD/1 int - 5 sacks

Anterior Thompson - Iowa boy now starting for Washington - after one game: 1 assisted tackle

Nestor - starter - after 1 game - 2 tackles/1 PD

Proctorologist - Bama goes down and his standout stat is that he is a lil beetch

More to come.

Soooo, let's check out this weeks stats.

Tulane - 2-0 Sullivan 3-3 avg 13.3 RTG: 212 - I assume he is second team

Washington - 2-0 - Thompson - 2 tackles - I think he is still a starter, but not certain

Minnesota - 2-0 - Nestor - 2 tackles - 2 INTs (including a pick 6) - Interestingly Iowa has yet to have an INT this year.

Nicholls - 1-2 Deuce - 53-88 - 519 - 3TDs - 2 int - RTG: 116.5

Kansas - 2-1 LeeeShon Williams - 9 for 57 - 1 TD - 1 catch for 16yds

Bama - 1-1 Proctorologist - still a lil beetch

I know there are more, help a brother out and tell me who I am missing?

Good work.
Labas is the starter for the 1-1 Chippewas. He's got zero sacks; 67% completion rate and positive rushing yards. QBR: 131.2. As stated, they have several Hawkeyes starting for them.

Did we ever get an explanation for why KJ was ejected from the team?

Is he the guy who insisted he was injured for the second half of the season, waiting for the transfer portal? Didn't he go to Kansas State after Iowa? I may be confusing him with somebody else.

Did he make a public announcement? I only saw that claim on message boards.

Below: Dudes who transferred in. 3 QBs who appear to be better than the guys they replaced. Score!

Screenshot 2025-10-14 at 20-37-54 Iowa Hawkeyes 2025 College Football Players Stats - ESPN.png

Our top 2 receivers are transfers. Again, SCORE! Seth Anderson 7-44-2TDs. I think he has more talent than he has shown, maybe a combination of injuries and the overall lack of a passing game for a few years now.

Screenshot 2025-10-14 at 20-41-13 Iowa Hawkeyes 2025 College Football Players Stats - ESPN.png

JONAH PACE - starter - 11 tackles. Seems like a good pickup
BRYCE HAWTHORNE - 2nd team - 5 tackles - 1 int. He seems to have a bright future. Came from the same school as Gronk. When all is said and done he may turn out to be the real steal from South Dakota.

NOW FOR THE GUYS WHO TRANSFERRED OUT.

LeeShon Williams - Kansas (4-3) - starter - leading rusher - 309 yds - 5.6avg - 5TDs. Also, 3 catches - 65yds - 2TDs

E. Tenn State 3-4 McNamara - starter - 93/146 - 984 - 64% - 6 TD - 6 int - RTG 125.7

Minny 4-2 - Nestor - starter - 21 tackles - 5PD - 3 int (incl. pick-6)

Washington 5-1 - Anterio Thompson - starter - 8 tackles - 1PD

Central Michigan 3-3 - Labas - starter - 58/83 ... 694yds ... 5 Tds - 1int ... RTG 158

Nichols (Div 3) 2-3 The Deuce - starter - 4TDs - 5 int ... RTG 110

Alabama - 5-1 - Proctorologist - knows a lot about being an azz

Transferred Out:

McNamara: E. Tenn State 7-5. RTG 131.3 - 1283 yds - 7 TD - 6 int - 67% completion (sound familiar?)
Looks like his little brother is on the team.
Screenshot 2025-11-24 at 15-52-19 East Tennessee State Buccaneers 2025 College Football Player...png

LeeShon Williams: KANSAS 5-6 - 456 yds rushing - 5.6 avg - 7 TDs - 5 catches - 73 yds - 2 TDs

Proctorologist: Alabama 9-2 - they'll be in the playoffs. Would KF's record be 9-2 if he stayed? Probably not.

Nestor: Minny 6-5 - 38 tackles - 6 passes defended - 3 int's for 37yds and a TD. Would the defense/special teams be better if he was on the team? Would having another Lutmer be a good thing?

Anterio Thompson: Washington 8-3 - 24 tackles - 1.5 sacks - 2 passes defended. Would've added depth and helped special teams.

LABAS: Central Michigan - 7-4 - RTG 168 - 1434yds - 70% completion rate - 12 TDs - 5 int's. Would he be better than Gronk? I seriously doubt he would be worse. And probably not cost us 1 million $.

Nichols (Div 3) 4-8 The Deuce - 4TDs - 5 int ... RTG 107 - 1046 yds passing - 61% completion rate. Oh what could've been ... LOL

Transferred In:

Jonah Pace: 16 tackles - 1 PD

Bryce Hawthorne: 11 tackles - 1 int

Groanowski: RTG 119 - 1363 yds - 63% - 7 TDs - 6 int. - 427 rush yards - 13 TDs

Hecklinski and Brown haven't been able to show much. Whatever potential is there has been stifled to date.

Gill: leading receiver - 260 yds - 1 TD
Phillips: second place receiver - 249 yds - 0 TDs
Seth Anderson: 54yds - 2TDs (potential unrealized)
Wetjen: Over 1000 yards of cumulative offense - ALL AMERICAN - might play on Sundays as a returner.
Hayden Large: 52 yds receiving. His worth is in his name.

Shahid Barros and Bryce George: Injuries? Performance issues?

Nestor was a big loss. Plus his dad's anti-Hawk crusade is going to hurt future portals and recruiting. His dad is something wow!

Some additional players I missed:

New Mexico 8-3: Keagan Johnson - leading receiver - 54 - 693 yards - 3 TDs - rushing 2 for 9 yds

San Diego State 9-2: Jacob Bostick - 11 catches - 157 yds - 3 TDs

Tulane 9-2: Pascuzzi - 8 catches - 107 yds - 1 TD

Central Michigan 7-4: Brenden Deasfernandes - 19 tackles - 4 pass defended - 2 INT ... plus VanWetzinga is a D-Lineman with 8 tackles.

I'll repeat that losing KJ was a net negative. Someday I hope we find out the real reason he left.

His dad will have zero bearing on any recruits unless they are friends with him. He was ran out of west branch because he was a giant dbag with a huge ego and thought he was bigger than the town and from what coaching friends said not that great of a coach. Only reason got job is AD a big Iowa fan boy and no coincidence former player Matt Hughes new coach.

The difference is that Matt Hiughes is a great person, down to earth, and actually understands small school high school football. The success they had was because of those attric=butes and that the players bought into him.

You’re right what you said about Hughes. Should’ve clarified with AD that’s main reason Nestor hired because from IL and his son. I don’t think if he didn’t have a son playing got hawks he gets it where Hughes has a lot better resume former Iowa player or not but AD loves that though.

Who is everyone expecting to portal out? Probably some walk-ons that I'm missing.

Stratton is gone

Expecting:
Brown

possibly:
Michael Burt (due to depth and DJ/Meyer passing him)
Jaz (final year, rb depth is solid)

So Iowa is reportedly in contact with former Florida reject, current western Florida qb Marcus Stokes.

Not a huge fan of that. That means our development sucks and we airballed on all the qb's last year behind Gronowski.

It does help if he is a runner but we can't throw our NIL at every QB just hoping one is good enough.
