There'd still be a bubble debate. Teams 97-110. Just like there were debates when there were 48 teams in the tournament, etc.

Even Maryland would be on that bubble this year (although the Terrapins did not make the NIT)...

Bubble debate is fine. Folks live it. But you could put any power conf, team with 500 record in and and mid major who won conf. But not tourney. Eliminating 90% of it. And who can really ***** if you're around 100 and not selected?
