Rutgers has an outside chance at some additional wins. Purdue knows this is it for them. The rest of their schedule does not have even a remote opportunity for a win. So they will be desperate. Plus Perdue is home. Plus it's their homecoming.

If Perdue rises to the occasion and plays a clean game, I think they will win. But if they make turnovers and penalties at the same rate they have their last few games, RU should be able to win a shootout.

Perdue is ranked #1 in the conference in preseason hoops. So they have that going for them. The football Gods should be merciful and give us this one. We'll see.

It's never a piece of cake to win on the road, but I kind of feel like you guys take this one, something like 34-27 or so. It'll be a good game, but Rutgers has played close enough in most of its Big Ten games to have the law of averages come into play eventually. The Washington game was bad, but not quite as one-sided as the score suggests. I would call for a higher-scoring shootout, but that Purdue performance against Northwestern has me spooked and swings this one for me.

My only hedge would be if Oregon flew back to Eugene with Rutgers' hearts. That would make for an ugly third act this year for you. But for all his many, many shortcomings, Schiano's teams typically show up to play, even if they're not good. This might be the last win of the year, but I think you get it tomorrow.

Everyone, except Politi, picked Rutgers to win.
Politi said he didn't have confidence in the D to make changes based on what we saw last week.

Based on this first half, Politi is, unfortunately, going to be right. Again.
