This could be a high scoring game. Assuming KC manages two halves of efficient offense, the defense makes a stop or two, Schiano doesn't ice the kicker before a 65 yard FG attempt into the wind with enough time on the clock in the 4th quarter for Illinois to go for it on 4th down and score a walk off TD, and the magical properties of the Illinois fieldhouse are held at bay on this particular Saturday (these are big assumptions):

Uh, your score is pretty much Oregon ugly. Illini don't have the athletes $$$$ Oregon has. If our D can hold Purdue to 24 pts. then their D must really suck. I'm going
42-38 Illini and only because we absolutely suck in close score games. The Purdue game should not have been a close score, Rutgers made it one.

Illinois' D is bad, and if you can get pressure on Altmyer he folds. If the D can show up in any capacity this is a 50/50 game.
Hoping for a defensive game plan that gives Illinois some trouble and causes some turnovers ... and an offense that can convert scoring chances the entire game.

I am actually being very serious- I had not realized how bad their defense actually is...yes- we are still very bad but I am not sure we have had a chance to face a B1G defense as bad as they have been- could really be a shootout and I f-ing hope Patel is back on track! Here are the stats, two bad defenses. Offenses are kind of similar. Sorry, watching our defense this year gives me no hope of a stop when needed, especially on the road. Betting line opened at at Illinois -10.5 and has moved to -13.5. Some may see a blowout. I don’t but don’t think RU wins unless they win TO by 2 and AK has a huge game throwing the ball:

What a sh*tty take by me. Our offense is not good it’s below average. 132 yds. in a half against a bottom barrel B1G D. We do nothing well. @TorontoRU you we’re right were beyond hope. We don’t have a chance.to win the rest of the season
Illinois -12 was such a lock. Hated to take it, but it was just too easy. How often does GS beat a mobile QB?
