What do we have 10 turnovers so far? More? Man it certainly kills ya when you have a coach who doesnt believe in running a half court offense and the other team is forcing you into a half court game
this performance is trash, I am going to turn it off
Pitt is not good and RU pissing away possession after possession..good lord they are only losing by 8 despite being horrific but they keep playing like crap possession after possession

Honestly only down 8 after this performance is a positive

We can win with choppy half court offense, but not if we’re turning it over and committing fouls left and right
We're finishing in the 12-14 range of the Big Ten again. Just not a good team.
What kind if offense did uconn play when pike was a guard there?
I've seen 5 of 8 games so far and really disappointed we still don't run a real offense.

Even the announcers is saying we are not even running an offense and he is right we don’t run any offense when we are in a half court see and that’s all on Pikell!!
it would make us tougher earlier on. I am a big believer that you learn more by playing tougher teams and you learn bad habits at home against butterfly state where you think you can just turn it at any moment
this half was exactly what I feared, a real team for the first time who plays tough defense and we struggle mightily in the half court.
that being said despite the negativity, they are only down 8 against a mediocre team, a good start to the 2nd half and this becomes a whole different ballgame but we need a big wakeup call in that lockerroom
Still have 20 min ... and first road game ...they need to take it to basket ... 3-13 for threes, 8-14 for twos
Was wondering the same thing. No way Jim Calhoun ran this kind of pathetic offense.
I was willing to cut Pikiell a break for the first couple years because of the personnel. But him, Knight, and Hobbs were all guards and this is a guard-heavy roster. If the offense looks like this now, what on Earth are the odds it gets better?
To be clear, the Sanders/Freeman offense did not have a high ceiling but it was plainly obvious at the time that Pikiell wasn't getting the most from it.

Only down 8 with not much offense and 11 turnovers!! Stop the turnovers, someone step-up offensively and we're back in it.

Both Harper and Geo need to start asserting themselves.
That is an insult to the local Y! Many more pick and screens and moving with out the ball at the Y.
- The ball should not be in Young's hands late in the shot clock
- We need to protect the ball better. We're putting it at risk way too often with sloppy passes, and turning it over way too much.
- Need to get the ball inside more. Way too much dithering outside the arc and settling for a three. We can get those threes at almost any point in the shot clock - need to work harder for a better shot first, then take the three if it's not there.
- Pike needs to refocus them in the locker room and get them back on track
- Some of the early fouls were absolute BS. The blatant illegal screens by Pitt get no whistle all half, then a slight illegal screen in the last 5 min by Carter gets a whistle. Weird, and hard to get a bead on what they're calling or not. Cylinder calls? The foul on McConnell after he was fouled twice by Pitt on one play? Just bizarre.

Turnovers have been mostly due to lazy or quick passes. That leads to more opportunities for Pitt. Cut down on those and run the offense (No 3 pt shooting) and we're back in it.
Nice guy, fan friendly, moderate improvement. Ok, great. But at some point coaching, player motivation, line up, go to plan, ref engagement, again...COACHING THE GAME has to be the value added.
