We need this scheduling. Will we ever recruit well coming off 7-12 win seasons every year?

We won 3 B1G games last year in reg season and people expect to win 5 or 6 games now. Would oh expect that if we went .500 OOC last year? Nope.

Wins is all that matter. Rutgers had a poor OCC schedule last year but the 11-2 start waa very good for perception...including some national press.

We disagree here. I’m ok with a soft schedule but I’d be surprised if this wasn’t the weakest OOC Of any P5 team.

I’d rather be a better team when the B1G schedule hits than be padding our record with nobodies. It lends itself to not be as ready for the big boys as we could be when that schedule kicks in. Getting blasted by Michigan State by 20 rather than 50 makes a difference also.

I can't recall the last time I've seen a team foul this many times. 3 players have fouled out for Coppin.

Good news:

We won, and the defense held them under 40.

Bad news:

Really ugly offense.

But: better to win ugly than lose pretty.

PSA....Watch the WBB teams home opener against Wake Forest at 6:30 on BTN2Go.

They are depth and playing great defense...including the 55 Press. Also playing well on defense.

FT shooting will lose us a few games, but our fight will win a few. Draymond, I mean Eugene, is gonna be a stud by Senior year. We 4-0...one more and we can play the Eric Foster video...

Like everyone here, I’m frustrated with our poor shooting (including FTs). But we’re going to go as far as our defense takes us. On a positive note, that does seem to be improving every game. Happy to be 4-0. On to Bryant.

Same as last year...gotta do it with defense and rebounding until those 3 shooters come in next year along with the continued development of Eugene, Thiam and 2nd year improvement of Duke, Myles Johnson (redshirt) and Baker.

We're right on track. We're 4-0 and that's what matters. I hope we can clean up the FT shooting and learn how to not play down to our competition. Of course it doesn't help going into a game like this knowing the team we last beat (Cleveland St.) beat this team by 20 points. Florida State will begin to show where we're at as a team.

Bingo...there is a difference between worst p5 ooc scheduling and middle of the road soft...wins do not matter when reality sets in...same thing happened last year..and at least last year we went on the road 4 times to zero this year

Mike shoots 1-10 and 50% from line and win by 25.....small steps, but the scoring from Baker and help on the glass by Eugene is a great sign....We have to assume any wins will come from Freeman Sanders and Williams contributing 40+ points a night....

There will be a couple of B1G games where all 3 guards click and we make 70% from the FT line and everyone will be excited....then there will be games where we shoot 6-29 from the floor and people will be ticked off......

The upside of Baker (plays under control) is very positive for me....once you add Mathis Kiss and Carter as more efficient players on both ends, RU will be better than most believe down the road.

I think we need to play a real team and get our asses kicked. That’s how you get better.
Not if the team lacks shooters.Last season Rutgers had a difficult time scoring 60 points in league games.Poor foul shooting and mediocre 3 point shooting aren't positive signs against weak competition.

I don't recall a team ever have only one foul shot for a entire game.Coppin was a perfect 1-1 while Rutgers had another 50% foul shooting performance.

Eugene is KYK favorite player.
Haha eugene has looked good in the early going. Im very curious to see how he looks against good competition though. Hes just bigger and stronger than all these garbage teams. Hes getting alot of garbage points and cleaning up the glass which is something he couldnt do last year vs anyone so thats very encouraging. Must say that drop step, from the foul line to the box for a lay-up in the 1st was a thing of beauty

Fun fact: Juan Dixon got this job after going 3-25 coaching the University of DC women's team in one season. Weird..

how about we have now seen two coaches who have appeared on the Realhousewives of Potomac as each have a former or soon to be former spouse as cast members
