I’ve been telling you guys for 2 years. It’s going to be the B1G and SEC in a NFL style playoff ultimately. Everyone else is getting ghosted at some point.

After Indiana and SMU that will most likely be the argument. With Clemson looking legit against Texas, the argument for additional spots or an 8 team playoff is not outlandish. Let’s see what happens with Arizona State, if they get smoked by 24 or more it will make that argument ironclad.

Offense was not playing well. Even if you get it, you still have 80 yards to go.
We had all the momentum, little to gain, a lot to lose.
I think it was an awful decision in that specific situation.

People underestimate the value of possessing the ball. Keeping the ball in that spot rather than giving it to them in plus territory is a lot to gain.
