Official PSU - Rutgers '25 game thread

[NittanyLionRoar]

I’m watching Dom DeLuca this drive. He literally does nothing. Can’t come off blocks. Can’t tackle. Can’t read the play.

[MtNittany]

3rd and 20-something and you run. Just throw it up for grabs around the 10 yard line.

[PrtLng Lion]

Piss poor tackling.

Can’t run.

[baltimorened]

You need to also fire their middle school and high school coaches.

is their running back, Raymond, an all American??

[Paws057]

To think we’re actually struggling with Rutgers….amazing

[Ludd]

is their running back, Raymond, an all American??

He is today.

[LB99]

WTF is with the DL?

[PSUfreak2008]

Oh my God. He is literally just falling down. Is this a gambling thing??? This can’t be actual performance.

[NittanyLionRoar]

Piss poor tackling.

The tackling is bad, but when 0 is in, the runners seem to be untouched for at least 7 yards, until the defensive backs can get to him.

And 25 is flat out better… and a freshman. Fvcking ridiculous

[haveyoumethoward]

Can’t run.

Basically, he can't play football. We're a player short when he's in.

[ZouaveLion]

90 yards to go for Rutger and the 3 million dollar man decides ro run the prevent...

[Psu00]

Piss poor tackling.

A recurrent problem the coaches still have not addressed. It’s only been about 10 years or so. They should get to it eventually.

On the scramble up the middle…. The slow plodding QB did something that kind of resembled a cut… he just fell flat on his stomach. Didn’t get a finger on the guy. Is this real????!

WTF is with the DL?

I've been convinced for awhile they're at too big a weight disadvantage compared to most OLs. They get worn down.

[haveyoumethoward]

lol. Can't anyone tackle?

[LionsAndBears]

This Defense looks lifeless. Going through the motions.

[LMTLION]

Pathetic d and particularly the secondary.

[Player2BNamedL8r]

Just an overall uninspired effort so far…very disappointing.

It feels like lack of effort today. They looked good the last few weeks. You can’t tell me this Rutgers OL is better than anyone we’ve played.

[LB99]

lol. DeLuca taking out his frustration with us on the QB.

Getting manhandled on this drive.

[Tom McAndrew]

After the sack by DeLuca, some of the comments in this thread seem a good bit over the top.

[Big_O]

This game is not a good look for Terry Smith.

[Player2BNamedL8r]

The way his head snapped back, though they were gonna call targeting.

[SouthHalls410]

The D is the biggest disappointment to me this year.

[fastlax16]

lol

Lacking intensity. Raymond is running hard, have to give him that.

[NittanyLionRoar]

Our defenders must have collectively put their bets on Rutgers.

We wouldn’t be that lucky.

Rutgers just tied it up as the PSU defender just fell down.

[Tom McAndrew]

ugh, Rutgers TD.

Zion Tracy fell down on the play.

With the PAT, it's 21-21, with 0:27 left in the 1st half

One play (unblocked) vs many.

Looks like Knowles defense against UCLA. I’ll never forget that game. Made Jerry Neuheisel look like Bill Walsh.

[SouthHalls410]

This is effffffing Rutgers.

[fastlax16]

Was it Tracy who tripped and fell against ND last season?

[PSUfreak2008]

oh my God!!! He got a tackle. I’m gonna leave him alone the rest of the game. HOWEVER…. Im starting to wonder if there are about 30 guy on the defense that put money on the over

[Shifty15]

To think we’re actually struggling with Rutgers….amazing

Well, we only paid $3 million for this awesome defense

[haveyoumethoward]

U

This game is not a good look for Terry Smith.

Get used to it, it's probably what we'll see for afew years.

[Nittany1865Farmer]

The Secondary has been a major problem for several years. Changing a coach will not change that in three weeks without gutting the whole group, secondary coach and finding anyone with a hint of talent out of the portal..
