Please use this thread for all pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion of the 2024 PSU - Kent State football game.

We Are ...

- curious to see how how many backups, and true freshman, get to play today
- confident that unlike Tennessee, PSU won't be taking any onside kicks in their game against Kent St.
- don't think there's much suspicion as to who will win today's game
- hopeful that the weather is quite lovely in State College for the game
- wondering if the product on the field, or the servers at @Midnighter's Bar, will be the main attraction today

... Penn State!!!

These Penn State players are OUT today: safety KJ Winston Jr., quarterback Jaxon Smolik, linebackers Kari Jackson and Keon Wylie, defensive ends Zuriah Fisher and Mason Robinson, receivers Mehki Flowers and Peter Gonzalez, tight end Andrew Rappleyea, and linemen Sam Siafa, Liam Andrews, De'Andre Cook, and T.A. Cunningham.


No Nittany Lions are QUESTIONABLE.

Wonder what omen that portents??? The PSU Drum Major loses his hat on the first flip and falls on his butt on the return flip..... never ever saw that before happen during pre-game...

PSU's 1st KO goes out-of-bounds, so Kent State gets to start on their 35

DDS hits the QB as he's about to throw, Kobe King nearly gets the INT, and Kent State's QB is down and appears to be in some pain.

Edit: they rule it as a fumble, and recovered by Kent State

Sorry - had to do Little League this morning and then off to Middleburg. Staff have the week off; will be back for Illinois.

How hard is it to line up onside?!? We didn’t clean this up in the bye week? Opening kick goes out of bounds. Dumb pass into traffic that gets intercepted. This team just can’t get out of its own way.

This is the game to test out things to see what works and what doesn’t. No problem with Warren in the wildcat. Was a HS QB. Something else for defenses to prepare for.
