Official PSU - Iowa '25 game thread

[Tom McAndrew]

PSU will take over at the Iowa 35

[DELion]

With a name like Grunkemeyer, he's gotta be good.

[Bwifan]

Open up this offense and chuck the rock over the middle deep!!

[Calabrin]

Gee, do you think Iowa knew we were gonna hand off?

[PAgeologist]

For those with Xfinity, check to see if you get a free Peacock sub. I do.

[Calabrin]

New QB.
Same ultra conservative scheme.

Just embarrassing.

[anon1793628996]

Punt punt

[JVP_Yahweh]

I have a free sub but I'm getting the "coverage will begin shortly" message

[anon1793628996]

[Tom McAndrew]

3rd & 5 ...

and Kaytron picks up 1 yard

PSU is going for it on 4th & 4 ...

Grunk scrambles for a 1st down (he was trying to pass it), as he scrambles to the Iowa 20

[marylovesthelions]

Great beginning

[Bison13]

I love that Smith went for it, and I love that. He pointed and showed a little bit of emotion when he acknowledged drunk Meyer getting that first down.

[Tom McAndrew]

2nd down ... Smolik in at QB, and Gunk at WR ...

Smokik pitches to Pena who takes it to the 1

[AvgUser]

WTH. Smolik already?

[Calabrin]

Koreknicki: "Let it rip today."

Also Kotelnicki: ::dials up a handoff on 3rd and long::

[Tom McAndrew]

3rd & 1 at the Iowa 1 ...

incomplete (deflected)

PSU is going for it on 4th down ...

Kaytron doesn't get in, but offsides Iowa.

So, we do 4th down again ...

TD, Kaytron Allen!!!!

[laKavosiey-st lion]

Let’s gooooo

[Paws057]

Wow!

[Calabrin]

I was wondering if we were gonna see Smolik today. They're probably throwing everything at the wall to try to convince these guys not to portal.

[Tom McAndrew]

With the PAT, it's 7-0, PSU, with 8:45 left in the 1st qtr.

[Bison13]

Coach Smith understands that there’s nothing to lose at this point.

[marylovesthelions]

Katron!

[KingLando]

It's easy when you're team's season is essentially over so you just go for every 4th down lol
Good start...took 10 or 11 plays to score from the 35 but we'll take it. Play calling remains awful.

[KingLando]

I was wondering if we were gonna see Smolik today. They're probably throwing everything at the wall to try to convince these guys not to portal.

Why do they care who leaves via the portal?

[Tom McAndrew]

Gabe's 2nd KO goes into the endzone

[Fred8811]

Ahhh...the Mc Sorley years

[PSUcup]

You can’t tell me there is no one better than Deluca

[PhillyBillyReprise]

That guy was hugging DeLuca

[mh-larch]

For those with Xfinity, check to see if you get a free Peacock sub. I do.

Thanks for the tip.......but didn't work for me

[Paws057]

Their offensive line is Killing our defense

[PSUcup]

Every play is being run directly at Deluca

[jmorovich]

The Dom Deluca pancake number over under set at 47 tonight

[olelion]

Deluca is a frickin disaster

[Bwifan]

The Dom Deluca pancake number over under set at 47 tonight

Deluca has gotten pancaked 3 snaps in a row

[olelion]

Number 0 is a zero

[Paws057]

Is Andy calling their plays too?

[m.knox]

The Dom Deluca pancake number over under set at 47 tonight

Yeah, that was bad. 34 got beat up on that play too.

[Bwifan]

4-2-5 defense sucks if you don't have 2 stud DT

[olelion]

Why not try freshmen at LB. Burning redshirts is no longer an issue

[Tom McAndrew]

Iowa was chewing up the PSU D with their running. And then they went play action, nearly got sacked, and ended up with another incompletion on 3rd down. So, they kick a FG

7-3, PSU, with 4:29 left in the 1st qtr

9 play, 54-yard drive (all runs) for Iowa
