This feels like an early season non conference game where Frank has all these weird lineups with personnel who have obviously never played together at the same time. Painful to watch.

In basketball as a teammate there is nothing worse than being forced to take the negative play because your teammate lacked focus or was just lazy. That foul that Rachal just got was totally on KES. It is ugly to watch what one or two players not doing the basics can do to a team.

Brutal. This has become a shoot the 3 first team...problem is we're really really bad at shooting 3s. It doesn't even look like they're trying to get into the paint to create an easier shot.

We suck. This game's over. On to EPL the rest of the afternoon.

Haywood keeps throwing that lazy *** one handed baseball toss flat and across the key. They will break on that for an easy dunk this game. I promise.

I’m out. If I wanted to watch a preseason game this would have been it. Just awful.

That's why you have seen a couple weird rotations. Why Rachal just turned down the 3 for the drive and an and-1. Go inside or sit.

I know I said no melting until season is over but this type of loss is going to push us out of the top 100.

If we lose this, we would have to win the conference tournament to get in. And that is about a 30-1 shot.

A perfect storm if flat uninspired offense and porous defense. Owls are unconscious,
Their highest point total in a half.
Very disappointed to see the season go down the drain in a half.
Temple is not Houston.

Haith’s zone has lots of holes. Not the Wainwright defense at all.

We no longer have three versions of it. We use to have a standard, a slide we ran against multiple outside shooters, and a chase where they ran it almost like a box and one where we chased the good shooter or scorer and the zone would rotate back into a proper 3-2 with the chaser matched up in the wing or top with the shooter. The last few games we can barely get the standard right and Haith has left us in it way too long. Our man is pretty good and so is our 1-2-2 three quarters court pressure.

Haith runs the same offense thinking it will get better. It WILL NOT GET BETTER!! Why does he think this ok? We need a complete overhaul and get a coach that actually knows how to recruit scorers. Haywood and KES are huge liabilities to this team.

Shumate may be the only player I saw out of 11 that showed any fire. Rachal okay but doubled everywhere and he can’t dribble.

Their best player only played about 8-10 minutes. Doesn’t look good and no energy noticed. We are a below average team without energy. The best comparison is we look like Memphis at TU last year. No energy and coach has no fire either.

Why does Shumate come out? He rebounds and plays hard. But Haith has to play his boys, KES and Haywood no matter how obvious it is that they give us nothing

Williams/Jackson/Shumate/Richie/Joiner over Haywood/KES.
Haith has given Haywood/KES ample opportunity, and they haven’t produced.

KES has moments but gets way too many minutes. I honestly think Haywood never recovered from those early games and the bad shooting. He has deteriorated the further into the season we go. I had hoped his one good shooting game would break him out, but it seems to have just been a quick flash before a return to previous form. It now has spread to his defense and rebounding.

Will we see more of Schumate, Earley, and Williams? I hope so, before Joiner had the autobench KES was playing much better, once it became clear he would get a good portion of the ball handling his play went backwards.

Urbancic should get time. He’s better than what I am seeing here.

My smart TV went dumb when we were 15 down so I missed whatever horrible play we had the last 4 minutes. I’ll be watching the second half on my iPad so I probably won’t be posting much. While our shooting has been bad it’s been turnovers and rebounding that has really lead to this deficit. To have a chance we need to value the ball and fight for boards.

How can a four star recruit miss a wide open layup and lose the momentum???

Open shot given up by Haywood, followed by a missed layup by KES. Take these two out and we’ve had a good start to the half.

We’re getting a little better play this half but you can’t blow run out layups when you‘re behind.

I will never understand how coaches paid millions of dollars play people based on their ranking and not on their play. Every year it costs coaches their job.

You know what playing people because they are ranked high and you want other high ranked recruits does? It gets you high ranked recruits who feel entitled to play because they are high ranked recruits.

You know what playing the players who work hardest and play best gets you? The best hardworking players. You know what the best hardworking players get you? Wins. It gets you wins. Winning gets you more winners.

You get what you permit.
