It’s time to finally have a home game.

A couple of keys to this game: the defense needs to do more bending than breaking. And our illustrious OC needs to not have a turtle offense.

It is an absolute travesty that this game is not yet sold out.

Not surprised. People in Tulsa are lazy AF.

I’m feeling saucy and picking an upset. Tulsa fans deserve it and that’s my logic.

Ugh... I hate picking them to win but the data points for these teams this season aren't helping.

Offense unwraps more of the vast Monty playbook this week. Defense continues its improved play on a larger stage at home.

What I wouldn't give for a repeat of the 3 TD comeback in the final 5 minutes to send all the orange and black folks screaming back down the Cimarron in their red dirt stained pig smelling pick-up trucks
I'd rather just be up 3 TD's when the clock hit's 0 in the 4th.

The Cowboy fans might drink Tulsa dry just to drown their sorrows.

Yes those mean old orange pukes would be heart-broken....and then TU might boost their attendance the rest of the year....a double whammy!![cheers]

Honestly I don’t see our offense putting up near as many points as you guys are suggesting. If we win, it’s due to our defense. I’m saying: Tulsa 20, OSU 17

Oregon state scored 36 on them. This is going to be a shootout.

Did the Cowboys giving up two TD's with their reserves after being up 45-23 to begin the 4th matter much? I acknowledge OSU's D isn't Michigan State. Interesting that the two perceived strengths - OSU Offense versus TU Defense, then the two perceived weaker units - TU Offense versus the OSU Defense, face off against each other.

I'm sure TU has acclimated back to Tulsa after having played two relatively nice temp/humidity games. Don't know if OSU's playing on a hot/humid field in Stillwater last weekend provides any slight advantage. Probably not.

I'll laugh my *** off if OSU gets 45 on us this year.(And then quietly begin sobbing.)
I'll be stopping at the QT on the way back to drown my sorrows if that happens. Thank God my son in-law is coming as the designated driver.

Turnovers and special teams will decide the game. Hope I’m wrong, but I just don’t have much faith in the coaching up of these critical areas.

I think Tulsa will be OK in the turnover area...we certainly won't see a rash of them clumped together like the Michigan State game. If TU does, then TU deserves to lose. I am not that worried about special teams. Hopefully our kick off guy will figure out to drive it lower and into the endzone every time. FGs we're OK it seems. Punting-hell Bennnett is a borderline AA candidate.

Biggest worry, especially if we get a Big XII hack referee crew (who can't get things right with or w/o instant replay), is the number of penalties. Still too many last week although one of the pass interference penalties was completely bogus. And it depends if the crew calls it consistently. I can live with the occasional hold on the OL or a pass interference because we're playing physically. The ones that drive me crazy are the false starts and the NT jumping offside. Those are caused by pure lack of focus and discipline and should be mostly gone after week 1. I think our NTs jumped offside twice against San Jose which is pretty inexcusable since you're staring at the football. We need to clean those penalties up. OSU doesn't need any extra chances or free yardage while on offense. And TU's offense is still questionable as to whether or not it can dig itself out of a self-inflicted yardage hole.

You don’t “Coach Up” talent discrepancies. A coach might make a difference on a few plays ,but you’re not going to mystify the other coaching staff for an entire game . No one is inventing the wheel here and if you don’t have the “Horses” you usually get beat. If Tulsa doesn’t disrupt their quarterback and put pressure on him they will play pitch and catch all day long.

Thank God I stopped at QT an hour before kickoff. Wish I wouldn’t have split that 12 pack with my son now.
