RU offense is really going to piss off the ducks and hold down the score. Oregon has no wins against a ranked opponent. Pluck the ducks.
RU 31 O's 24.

Based on reading our threads, Gregs makes the smart move and benches AK and starts Surace. He does this with the disclaimer that if Surace improves our RZ offense and we are ahead by enough points, he may try to get AK a few snaps late in the 4th qtr.

With this bold and brilliant move - Rutgers scores on 6 of 6 RZ visits and shocks Oregon 52-21. Rutgers fans feel that this win is not a statement as Oregon is obviously a bad team and it proves nothing.

Or we stick with a declining AK and lose the game 38-28

To win this game, RU would have to play so far over their heads that their noses would bleed for a week to ten days. Shout out to Bill Murray.

I didn't bother to open the thread suggesting a redshirt Freshman QB with no experience should play over one of the best performing QBs in the country. But now you put it in front of me. Newsflash - if the rest of the team was performing at AKs level, we'd be 6-0. We'll lose tomorrow but it will be because our defense stinks.

In the meantime, I'm grateful to have a 6:30 PM start and gorgeous weather on homecoming. It's going to be an awesome day regardless of what happens in the stadium later.

Prediction: after the game Grifter Greg moves the goalposts again, boasting to his legion of lemmings that he went 1-0 getting his team to the game on time, reminding that he is in fact undefeated in that measure even against Top 10 teams.

Shelby’s sources provided him Grifter’s scripted post game press conference talk for next week’s Purdue loss. In it he hints at the difficult Ross-Ade atmosphere, saying “the hundred fans in attendance were very loud and disruptive, great job by them. We need to do better, and we’ll Keep Choppin”.

I’m glad you like to use Greg’s terminology “keep chopping”
Isn’t it about time you use your own team’s mantra- “keep shoveling”

I do worry about our defense. But looking closer at Oregon - they are not the juggernaut they usually are. In conference, they average 28 points(which includes a 2OT game) and give up 22. They did play Indiana and PSU but not sure how good PSU really is.
And, this is 2 weeks out of 3 with the long west to east coast trip.

Because of our defense - I am going to say that they will go just above their average. Oregon 32...which gives our offense a fighting chance. Oregon does not give up a lot of yards but we also have an offense that is number 2 in the B1G for yds per game.
It won't be enough to pull off the upset but I think we do get 27.

I do think we would have a chance if we can actually see our ST's show up this week. Also- if someone has gotten to our in-game production...if this game is close going into the 4th quarter- let our F-ing crowd make the noise. It will be Oregon's first time here and I remember the days when we first got into the B1G and teams would come in to our "little" stadium and be in absolute shock at the noise our crowds created. We need that back. Not pumped up music

As always, I reserve the right to modify my prediction as we get closer to game time.

@Richie O maybe tango shouldn’t post 30+ links in individual posts in the game day thread and get pissed I called him out so he banded me from that thread. You know I am not the only one super annoyed by him doing this so often. But that is childish

If we get one stop on defense not in garbage time I will be surprised, if we get two, I might have a heart attack.

52-24 Phil's whores.
