Official new uniforms suck thread

I share Cali's sentiment. Don't want 2006ish looking uniforms. Nothing wrong with changing to be able to read the numbers but at same time keeping some stain with the unis...
If four people look at the uniforms, and 1 of them thinks the uniform suck, what are the odds that the second person they ask think they suck more. None of the individuals think they suck equally.
If they're actually scarlet red, and the numbers are legible, they can't be worse than what we have now.
As long as you can make out the number on the jersey from the lower level, I'll be happy.
I went to Purdue back in the late 90s, and I'll never forget how universally everyone hated the new look that Joe Tiller brought in with him from Wyoming.......then Purdue went on to make bowl games in those uniforms for nine straight years, including a Rose Bowl......and by the time they redesigned the uniforms, people had nostalgia for the unis they originally hated.
My ideal world, they are an ode to tradition, with a truly modern feel.

They won't look like 2006 unis, though. They'll look identical to Buckeye unis, except instead of gray, it'll be white.
Assuming that the four people are randomly selected from this board, and based on the number of whiners here, the probability in Spock Logic would indicate that the probability is approximately 99.849.
I'm with you. We all have our personal preferences but it's not a deal breaker for me. Except for the red one which is hard to read, I like our current uniforms. Whether they go to one end of the spectrum towards Oregon/Maryland or the other to a simple style doesn't matter to me. Just win a lot and I'm a happy camper, I can live with whatever the style regardless of my personal preferences.
Compared to those awful uniforms of the Flood years, these are great.
In my experience 90% will love the, 90% will hate them and the other half will wish we could go back to 2006
I have to say, I love them. Clean, simple, yet modern.
Said it in another thread, our Olympic sports and hoops look super sharp. Having a unified brand across all sports is really important. We have it.

i guess i feel like we could have improved the last edition...i dont think going back to being plain was necessary. I was also a huge fan of our whites and loved the helmets.

What would that even mean? Go Oregon style? I don't think that would ever work here unless Rutgers added a new accent color.

I know we will have an All Black version once a year for a night time black out game at home. THIS year it should be Michigan.
Hopefully, we will have an All Red version for select home games.

In my years on the board, I don't recall you ever being happy about anything, so I guess that's par for the course. Why do you call yourself a Rutgers fan at all?
