This would have been a 10-12 point win if not for the officiating. We closed them out, well enough. But officiating said otherwise.

Seriously though that first 10 minutes was nice. Hated to see us stumble after that, but they never gave up the lead and got the win on the road I will take it. Shows and the officiating had to be worth at least 10 points so 14 point win!

I think all 4 of those were in the first 4 minutes of the game.
He missed at least 3 point blank layups. One was a miss, because he flipped it when he could have dunked it

Referees and weathermen are the only people that keep a job after screwing up half the time.
Is it just me or is he a great player all around when his shot is fallen. When it’s not making shots every other part of his game goes south as well
just shows you what refs can do in 5 minutes. kentucky physically was beating them and really that toppin 3 was the dagger for the flow of the game at that point. then the refs start. if it wasn’t for two huge 3’s by mintz and askew going 4-4 ft’s we lose. that’s some major major ********.
17 offensive rebounds given up isn't good at all.

How great would it be if Shows and others had to do a post-game press conference answering questions and watching the replays with the press? A 3-second call and 2 fouls on the floor going for loose balls and that is just a glimpse of the BS I just watched.

So many of those were loose balls that went right to Vandy guys, but there were quite a few that happened due to a complete lack of effort and us being soft.
Boston and Sarr get shoved out of the way very easily, they pit up very little resistance and don't even get me started on their hands.

For all the crap Askew gets he very well might have saved the game with those 4 FTS with the way Shows was coming for us. I like the kid and am still going to root for him. Mintz is the 5th year Sr who about gave that away with the refs help. He tries hard and is proud to wear the UK uniform. He is 1 of 2 PGs on the roster and gets forced into more than he should. He should be able to have more of a Maxey role and score off the ball and not have it all on his shoulders, but luckily he seems tough and like a kid that will stick it out and be back at UK next year.
It's frustrating because it comes on the heels of letting Auburn rebound 48.8% of their misses.
We do well on the offensive boards. This team needs to get separation from somewhere and if they could just take care of the boards defensively, they will get that.
Cal deserves some major heat and the team does dumb crap at the end of games but for real they get hosed by refs every single game late. The amount of absurd calls we have seen the past 5-6 games is amazing. We have so many halves where we roll and the game moves fast and then a second half taken over by egotistical refs who are crooked as hell. Stops all flow and steals points. Happens so often it’s sickening. The fact Shows can still ref UK games is absurd.
I agree, but teams missing three’s will get a bit of long rebounds.
