We only get open shots from 27 feet but have made a few. One offensive rebound !????? Great rebounding and defense from Houston. We are closer than we should be at this point without better rebounding.

Can't believe we got the lead. They aren't shooting from 3, and surprisingly that's because of us.

With the way Jackson has improved his shooting there’s no excuse for anyone to be a bad shooter

Wow, that last shot from Joiner was a thriller. I’m happy to have a halftime lead after being out rebounded by 6. If we can continue to stay close we will give ourselves a chance at the end. That’s how the game went last year except I think we were behind a few at half.

Haven’t seen the stats but Houston not getting inside enough. Our defense really good with the man. Need to run offense through Idowu as he passes well. To stay in it we have to get in the bonus early and shoot out of our mind. Need everybody to crash boards.

I agree that we still have to rebound much better on defensive rebounds and stay aggressive even if we foul out some players because if we try not lose or foul out they will roll us

Haith better do some coaching at half, cuz Sampson will definitely make adjustments. Hopefully our three point shooting will stay near where it was during the first half.

Seriously, I really like our defensive improvement, game by game. If we can continue that defense & add improvement with rebounding, we will be a tough team to beat.

Also, good to see Williams getting valuable playing time in a big game.

I’m glad Haywood has found the range tonight, I hope ke keeps it.

I kept saying it was mental, now that he has seen it go in hopefully he'll play more naturally. His normally solid defense even stepped up a bit.

Need to fight through what is some atrocious refereeing and what will be a physical game. Our zone defense has switched to a sliding almost switching man when we go small. If they can learn to back up to rebound it will be very tough on other teams. It should be easier to rebound out of because they are staying more attached to their opponent then the more traditional zone we play.

We don't have to win at rebounding, but we will have to shoot well to get a victory though. So either we need to stay hot or improve or block outs.

With Haywood hitting and Richie a threat I expect to see more Jackson and Rachal drives from the wings and Elijah to push mismatches into the lane for kick outs, dump to the post, or some floaters or little pivot turn around he likes. The space will be there from the perimeter defenders hedging, which is how they have handled Richie so far. Hopefully if they press on Haywood he can get some drives and dunks.
