Offense has to score!
I bet if they would have scored on that pass, they would not have over turned it
We really need to score on this drive to help out our Defense
The play calling was fine. Skipper missed some throws, there were a couple of egregious drops. He didn’t really put the ball in danger. Honestly I thought the whole things was managed great by Monty. There were 4-5 times he snuck President out there after a time out for an injury or a called time out or whatever. Houston never recognized it. The time it didn’t work was when we went from our own 1 to their 1 on the 20 play drive and we got called for holding on 2nd down and Monty left President in the game.He made a good decision with the qbs today. He still kinda sucks as a passing game play caller.FIRE MONTGOMERY. Yours Truly, TU Grad 06
Atleast you don't have Gmoney stalking every word you say, dude is starting to creep me out a little bit.But rain on me all u want. Happy we won today.
Like I'm the only one? Lol That's what a good majority of the games threads are. Instead of being a keyboard warrior, why don't you just talk about the game. If you look at some of your posts, it sure seems like you enjoy belittling people like me or TUGrad06. Its cool though, have a goodIf u think I'm stalking u then you need to talk to aTUfan.
I was just following up on Gold's pointing out of your inadequacies. If you were analyzing it instead of trying to make excuses for it, you might see that a number of your posts are you talking to yourself.
And you are still being a keyboard warrior, congrats, I made some comments about the game of things that happen, and then you act like it offends you or something. Get over itGrad06 makes statements that are false and unjustified remarks against the team and players.
You just make some silly posts that have no point, totally different deal. You still are not analyzing but simply justifying.
Ciao
That makes no sense. Have a good night, I don't carry on stupid conversationslast word, word, words ;0)
All in jest 06....we all get frustrated at times. TU has struggles reloading its talent base. But rain on me all u want. Happy we won today.
It would frustrate most getting beat by Tulane like that lolAll in jest 06....we all get frustrated at times. TU has struggles reloading its talent base.
I like Wilkerson's game coming in (kid from Skiatook). He looks like Tarrion Adams a lot but possibly a step faster. Runs behind his pads.Taylor who is injured. We have plenty in the wings at WR.
Brooks put on a lot of muscle weight during the spring and summer. That has helped him tons. I don't remember him having nearly that much weight as a senior in high school. He is built so low to the ground, its hard to get a hand on him. His thighs circumference is amazing. Fans are going to see a lot of him in the future because of that power he has built in his running.I like Wilkerson's game coming in (kid from Skiatook). WR we should be set. There are some speedsters coming in along with the crop we have on campus now including RS. Johnson, Stokes, Stewart all return as well.
It will be interesting to see how they use Reed Martin. Speculation is as a defensive player but I think there is enough of a skill set to use him like Christian MCCaffrey (minus McCaffrey's speed).
Brooks- this kid is our version of Barry Sanders. He is a lot faster than I anticipated or remembered from watching him play in HS. He's a kid that at times didn't look great on film because the OL simply didn't hold blocks as long. Monty's guys did a great job of projecting what he can do with a great OL in front of him.
President and Brooks running an option...I get goosebumps thinking about thatTU has two QB's that are specialists in what they do. President is the running QB. Skipper is the throwing arm. At least he is better then President. Coaching staff finally seemed to realize what they had (in QB's) and started using the two in more appropriate circumstances in the second half. They need to keep that up. Also President needs more play sets customized for his running ability. His running ability in a Navy or New Mexico style offense would almost unstoppable. More Sweeps, Wild, Wishbone, Option whatever. Coaches need to get it done.

Someone described Brooks' thighs as mini tree trunks and that he was a lot stronger coming in than he looks. I'm hoping a full year in the conditioning program adds 10-15 lbs of muscle to help him hold up under a full season workload that he is most assuredly going to get the next 3 years.Interesting that you say that because the first time I saw him run I instantly thought “Barry Sanders”. He doesn’t have as much development in his legs as Sanders did but the height is similar and his field vision and quickness to the hole are eerily similar.
Funny thing is the running game really took off last year when Brewer got hurt and Flanders got the start and majority of carries the next week. It really got them both on a roll. I attribute that to Flanders’ style in attacking the hole and running behind his pads. Brewer tends to be a little more patient and sometimes that pays off and sometimes that does not.I don't think number one back is a concept that means much in Monty's offense. He seems to like splitting between two guys. One will get more touches but they'll both get a lot.
