well that's fair.. its pretty easy to "scrape" the song from the video and make an MP3 to use as you see fit.. as if you bought it. And, while not a lawyer, I think there is something about defending your ownership rights that is of value to issuing the take-down notices. If there wasn't money in it they wouldn't do it. Youtubers can make money posting videos.. not supposed to use content they do not own.. but maybe putting their official stuff on VEVO, for example, they might get paid.. and then it is in VEVO's best interest to get the unofficial stuff taken down.Ya notice it's very difficult to find studio versions of their songs? They actively skim the video channels to get them taken down.
