Bilas said on espn today that Michigan is the better team. Why does he do this?

Even if the 99 and 92 Duke teams merged with their best eight or nine players, Bilas would never pick Duke to win it all as he’s overly concerned with being called a homer. If you listen to Herbstreit do an Ohio State game, you’re aware of what’s going on, that he knows the coaching staff, probably friends with them, but he somehow handles it without pretending like every call goes Ohio St’s way to immunize himself from cries of favoritism.
I like how Michigan’s roster has been assembled, though to his point. Vegas apparently agrees with him as Michigan is the favorite to win it all at +350, Duke and Arizona at + 450, iirc.

He made comment on Rich Eisen show if they played 7 game series Michigan would win. Rich was making statement about Scheyer having success following a legend and Bilas gave all the credit to having talented players. Don't care for him or Jason Williams.

It’s all good, they’re just adding more fuel to the fire. Duke is pretty good when they’re the underdogs.

I think the reason that Jwill and Bilas don’t have Duke winning it all is they question everyone not named Cam. It’s not a major dis. We just need the boys to use it as motivation.

Funny reading the Uconn fans complaining about the refs last night.... Pot meet kettle. Wouldn't it be amazing if referees in sports in general were just really good at it? No bias, not motives, total fairness so the best teams actually win? I used to think mistakes by officials added a certain about of excitement to the game but now it's just annoying.

UConn mucked up the game just enough to make it a contest. My friend is a Michigan grad, and he and I chop it up a little bit, so I have seen MI play a handful of times this year. They were clearly sped up by UConn's pressure and defense. The better team won, but UConn is slippery.

This is my first post since we lost. That and avoiding social media is what got me thru it. I am still pissed, but at least now the season is officially over and we can look ahead to next year!

That game was exactly the kind of game UConn needed to win. Could have easily gone the other way. Hurley is a hell of a coach. A couple of more made threes, if Mich doesnt hit 20 ft in a row at one point, if Ball doesnt sit half the game with foul trouble. Mich had the better team, thankfully they pulled it out, but damn UConn was too close for comfort getting # 7.
Hurley is not a likable guy, but he handled the loss better than expected. I kind of expected him to go full on Geno, but he didn’t. Still not a fan of the guy, but I look at him a little differently after Mon night.

With everyone healthy. Not with three of our starters less than 100%. History will no doubt look at last year as more of a missed opportunity with Flagg and Knueppel, but injuries derailed this year. Still good enough to be up 19! on UConn though so there’s that. And to beat a damn good St John’s team. My silver lining is that Coach K had to go through 86 and 90 before he won one so hopefully Jon’s career will be on a similar trajectory.
