The excuse is he doesn't know who will come back. If he didn't recruit a roster full of guys that have one foot out the door before they even get here we wouldn't have to worry about it so much.

We're not getting a 1 seed now. Just gotta hope we don't get Duke in the East Region.
Another year where we're completely at the mercy of the selection committee after crapping the bed in late February/early March.

Doesn’t always tell the truth either. Lost in the 2nd round to *gasp* Indiana in the 2nd round and last year couldn’t beat a barely average K-State team. 2 of the last 3 years.
Like who? Murrays team played well at the end and just had a bad tourney game. Noel's team was just bad, Fox's team was as great as any and got jobbed but still elite 8. Last year we sucked but still should have made the final four. Every other year we did what we should have.
In conclusion we had one bad team. One average team who still made the elite 8. One team who was decent and had a early exit relative to the talent and the rest did exactly what they should have expect 2015(again final four but no title).

Oh IDK, how about 2010, 2013, 2016 and just last year.
Our 14 team choked in the title game, looked completely scared. Then we choked in 15 against Wisconsin and there were sophomores running the show in that game.
Take a look at the teams that are winning titles, they are all veteran teams.
But still taking out the Kansas state quality would you have taken an elite 8 with last year's team? Most would say yes. Murrays team underpreformed I will say that. Other than that it's really hard to say we don't play well in March. There not many teams who play better than us in March period. Yeah Nova had two great runs and Duke got one more title than we did because we choked. Still final fours are awesome.
You're making excuses for those tournament losses.
2016 just had a bad tournament game? That's the definition of a choke job.
Last year's team just sucked??? No, we had a gift. Bracket crumbled and we choked against an 8 seed. We were a 4. That's a choke job.
So your using a national runner up with all freshman as a bad example. That's laughable.

We still weren’t a good team last year. UVA and Arizona choking doesn’t mean we were suddenly good.
We were lucky to make the E8 last year and KSU was a fairly even team to us once they got Dean Wade back
Because we have chocked exactly twice. You can have a bad game without choking but regardless of how you count choking, a national runner up and final four where we lost 1 time is the most laughable thing to criticize I have ever seen.
So I make a statement about what happens to freshmen in the NCAAT and now I have to find a new team because you don't agree with what I said?

No our freshman preform as well as any freshman have ever performed in the tourney. To say otherwise is crazy. I wont have to find another team. I bleed blue and support our team 100%. I am upset sometimes but I have reasonable standards. They have made me extremely proud the last 10 years. One of the best runs I program history. The freshman preform huge every year. If they didn't we wouldn't have done anything.
Fine, what about 2010, 16 and 18? We choked in all three of those tournament games.
Winning with freshmen is hard and that is why.
Who else is playing with freshmen oriented rosters???
Other teams have one or two, we play mostly freshmen and when one isn't a John Wall or AD caliber player, you ain't winning it all.
Duke and even they haven't performed as well as consistently. Nobody else, which is why our accomplishments are that much greater. Its hard to win no matter who you have. That's they point of a one and done. Our teams have a good of chance as anyone. That's a fact almost every year.
For 1, we didn't make it to the E8 last year, we lost in the sweet 16.
2, KSU only had Dean Wade for a small amount of time in that game. That's a poor excuse.
We lost because some freshmen disappeared and one couldn't hit free throws.
KSU was an 8 seed for a reason, they weren't any good and a mid major ended up beating them in the next round.

Duke is the only other team that caters to one and done method and they have had the most talent the last 4 years. Zero titles with the best coach ever.

It was an awful game for sure, and they did panic, but the last 10 minutes of the first half basically decided the game, IMO.

Agree to disagree. I think our bench is just about perfect when it’s a bench. But pressed into further action, it suffers. We don’t have 7-8 interchangeable guys. We have 5, maybe 6 tops, then some solid role players.

If he really stays for two more years then I hope it works out. Wanting him to get better is only natural. I don't think he improved much from last year and that's what makes me frustrated. But with 4 years, who knows.
