Not hitting the mid range jumper either. Off shooting night. Play tougher D, grab rebounds, and take it inside.
I agree. That being said don’t you think the plan should be to attack them down low to expose their lack of an inside presence, instead of shooting jumpers.
For not hitting a 3 and taking some stupid *** shots, I’ll take a 3 pt deficit. We are a better second half team. We need Johnson/herro/quickly to knock down a few 3s. Richards pj and Travis have kept us in it. Hagans has been ok but had some bad plays with turnovers
What sucks is to me their nerves are still a factor. I honestly don't think they are ready for the spotlight. 2012 team was totally ready for anything that hit them. relaxed. This group is nervous and just kind of reacting. if they would simply calm the hell down they would be fine IMO
We need to increase our productivity. Grabbing loose balls and better shot selection would help. The defense is solid overall. KU is shooting 36% but we're worse than that.
They're dropping 3 guys back in on us. We have to hit SOME outside shots.
Defense is playing well. Offense is struggling to make shots, in particular our guards. Zero bench points and all our guards are a combined 5-22. I know Herro and Baker both had to force one at the end of the shot clock but still horrible. Good news is we can’t shoot much worse.

I think it’s a little bit the opponent and being at home and being amped. They played out of control. However, they played well vs UNC and UL so I think they’ll have a better second half.

They were playing that smart, doubling down low, but switching to leave Hagans open.
I'd love it if Quickley got the threes that PJ's taking.

Yeah. No reason to panic. Second half defense is their calling card since Xmas. We play harder and smarter in the 2nd half, we win.
Kansas is playing 5 feet off Hagans when in half court offense and clogging the middle up.
I understand that. But on several possessions we had one guy down low(Travis) and four guys standing on the perimeter. I like PJ or another big down low for this game.
Second half needs:
PJ not to fumble rebounds away and actually do some scoring in the paint.
Hagans needs to attack and dish and cutout the bad shots.
Reid needs to just keep doing what he is doing.
Herro needs to calm down. Every shot is pretty much long.
Johnson needs to show up. I'm not sure if he is even in the building with his play so far.
Either Quickley or Baker need to come off the bench and hit some 3's to give us a boost.
