Horrible shot by Herro. Our offense is bad with Quickley at point and his defense is not very good either.
Herro had an easy pass for a layup and a 12 point lead.
Instead he pulls that dumbass **** and it’s an 8 point game.
That could be huge in the second half.

In the final 11 mins of the half, the fouls were 8-1 on us. Seems fair.
I agree...problem is....that one single play is gonna KILL his confidence. He's gonna be thinking about that for a long time because of the resulting dunk that he caused.
The kid balled out the whole half. Give the kid his credit. Relax we are up 8 and should be more if the refs had half a brain.
Everybody slamming Herro....but if he made the shot he's totally 'the man'. Life of a fan I guess.

If Herro makes that shot it totally demoralizes UL. I can live with those kinds of mistakes. Going for the kill shot is something we don't do enough of. We're still up 8 and if we maintain the intensity we are fine.
4 f**kin fouls. We only got fouled 4 times. If this gets called straight the second half we win by 20+

Herro is young. He made a mistake that he won't make again. He's played great other than that.
Yup, that one bonehead move totally shifted the momentum. and now he just destroyed his confidence even more. Just a terrible decision. I mean did he even realize the half was nearly over? Still can't believe that just happened.

Bad shot but I'm not going to criticize him after the half he played. Had that went down it would have been huge. Still an 8 point lead. Let's hope the refs don't keep trying to determine the outcome to keep it close. If not we win by double digits.

An easy layup to make it a 12 point game at half would also have demoralized UL. Instead they get a huge dunk, make it an 8 point game, and start the half with the ball.

At least offensively, even with his abysmal three point shooting the last few weeks he’s still doing a lot of other good stuff..I have to double check but he believe he’s scored double digits nearly every game.

the shot shouldn't have existed....it's that simple. you're pointing out common sense...pretty easily done. it was a stupid shot...Cal agrees. he was LIVID after that shot.
At first I was aggravated at Herro’s mental error to close the half, but now I’m happy that the trolls finally have something to cry about.

IDK why everyone thinks Hero should have shot that. If there had been only 3-4 seconds, sure. But with the time left, even if he made it UL gets another possession and that is the 1st thing you learn in basketball, is not give them that extra possession.
Mack will use that in the locker room at half time, telling them they cut the 14 pt lead to 8 and UK is in foul trouble.
