Good no call actually at the end. Suck to lose on a FT but the Cats didn't guard the 3-point line the whole 2nd half and never got a call either. SH had a small margin for victory but that's what happens sometimes on the road. Bottom-line, defense lost it. Travis fouled out.

come on guys.....Chill! HERRO is the key to this team. If he was hitting, this would have been a blowout. He had an off day. It happens. Everyone else played well. We just have to get Tyler on track, then sit back and enjoy.

When you start to hear things like "UK gave Seaton hall a good game..." or "great effort vs a good mid-major..."

yeah...Rome probably said similar things toward the end..."we gave the Barbarians a good fight today guys...nothing to worry about..."

I think I'm gonna take a hiatus from here for a while. I'm so let down by this team, more so than any Cal team. No idea when I'll be back on, but in case I'm not for a while, merry Christmas to everyone.

The players aren't garbage. The system they're playing in is.

If we don't have an elite point guard that can shoot or drive on anyone to go with a great defensive big man, then the team isn't built right for what he wants to do and that definitely falls back on Cal.

Agree. This is what you get with freshmen, they are hot and cold.

Are you f’ing kidding me???

That Powell kid...every shot he threw up. Falling backwards, over the defense, ANYTHING he threw up went in. We played GREAT defense on the kid. He’s just a special player, had a great game, with a little luck on his side.

We played horrible offensively outside of PJ and made two terrible decisions at the end of the game...not calling T.O. And Keldon throwing up a terrible shot.

This wasn't a road game genius. At least half and half. Probably 60-40 UK

At this point, I have little confidence in Herro being the key. He’s had more off games than on from 3. Maybe by the end of the year he’ll put it together, but hitting the front of the rim on a wide open shot in OT was painful.

That was 100% on Cal. First of all, call a timeout after our free throw and tell them to give them the layup, no three. Then we get a shot to win the game, or go to double overtime.
THIS...I don’t want anybody else but Cal
has been an objectively bad coach this season....we can’t run a simple inbounds play and the season is a month old.

I'm not going to bash the team. However, the last 3 out of 4 seasons (Yeah, I'm counting this one too..this team is going nowhere fast.) have been end of his tenure Tubby Smith type ****. Don't tell me it hasn't been. And don't forget that even the Fox team looked like crap for the most part until about mid February of that season.

that's true about the defense on Powell, but the game winning shot was wide open

What a game! Too bad the cats didn’t come out on top, but at least there are more games to be played.

Herro needs to get his shot there.

Cal if he ever wants to win in college again has to change some of his ways. Gotta run that ball to half court and take a time out.

I hope he isn't the key to the entire season but when he plays well, we play much better. Losing Travis and perimeter defense is the saddest parts to me.

I actually agree with you, but it is still true. This team will go as far as Herro can take them. It could be a 2nd round out, or a national championship. He was NOT good today.

Well we have another full week of coaching, so we will keep getting better. Cal says he is not worried about offense, but maybe he should be. I think whoever scores the most points wins.

Man I thought Cal was great at adapting when he first got here. Now he is going to run this same garbage offense and switching defense no matter what happens. He also doesn't act like he cares about losing as long as the players get good enough to be drafted. If Kansas doesn't forfeit any games then they will be passing us up this year or next in all time wins.
