Bam had SO many touches and did almost nothing with it. Turnovers, misses, missed free throws. If he were on his game, this wouldn't be so close.

Of course, he's not the only one making careless errors with the ball. We had so many opportunities to build distance! Argh

Because if he doesn't dunk it he's ineffective

Me and my friends were just asking the same thing. I can't remember one time UK scores via a out of bounds play

Are we the only team that never runs an out of bounds play when under other teams basket? Out play consists of lobbing it into Bam in the corner. We never look to score and since we likely don't run any plays in practice, we don't know how to defend them and get burned in games.

I'm so tired of hearing the "young guys/team" ******** excuse. Newsflash, Coach Cal and some on this board..STOP using it as an excuse when it's the way Coach Cal runs the show here. That's three cruddy halfs in a row..whether offensively or defensively.

All they had to do was not collapse and not play like complete morons and it's. 10 point lead.
Holy crap that was bad

Bam is however drawing fouls on Kansas , that could play a role later . So I wouldn't say his touches have been empty despite not finishing

Hope that collapse doesn't take the crowd out of it. My dad and brother are there and said everyone is silent and kind of stunned at halftime.

Exactly. lol

It's about 1/3 our defense (we did get some nice blocks and deflections here and there)

And 2/3 KU just missing shots. They had wide-open looks, sometimes from some ball movement that looked a LOT sharper than ours. But bricked them. 0 for 8 on threes.

We need to play a lot better in the second half to win this one.

What concerns me is they won't go 0-8 the second half from 3. Fox needs to step it up with his passing and they need to hit fts.

Yeah we have some turnovers but the KU friendly whistles took us out of our rhythm the last 10 minutes of the half. fast 3 seconds, traveling after a shove, no calls allow KU to stay connected when we had a chance to extend our lead.

Hopefully Briscoe brings something more to the second half or they will have a chance before this is over.

Bam has questionable hands/handles/post moves.
I prefer Monk shooting from the perimeter, Briscoe driving in the halfcourt, Fox leading a break to the rim, and Willis shooting from 3 when wide open.

Hire me!

I blame us trotting out Michael Buffer Jock Jams Vol. I style like it's 1992.

(which I definitely didn't listen to today while folding laundry)

Bam is doing just fine. He only totally forced it once, i like how he passes out of the block. Just the fear of him getting the ball gives a shooter a tad more space. One time it worked to perfection and Monk just missed wide open three....keep doing it. Plus, got to keep driving it more and be decisive. Twice, Fox and Monk went weak and tried to lop it up for BAM. KU is too athletic and smart to get away with those.

Funny, people have been yelling the exact opposite the past 2 weeks.
