Adebayo's defense is one of those "Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane" types. They must be shooting close to 90% when driving on him.

Thought we would be up 10-15 before the game at half so we are in that range. We have played really well for stretches and really bad for some . think we end up winning by 20 or so but AU is a nice team . By next season they will be a top 20ish team.
Bams defense isn't anywhere near as bad as this thread would indicate . Early in the year he was getting in foul trouble due to low post enforcement. He has his hands up because they will call a foul on him otherwise , he has adjusted his play to the officials but fans haven't
Yeah, that's awesome, but we know we can't rely on that.
Bam and Monk should be cleaning the paint off the rim, but they are trying their best to avoid contact.

Defense...yikes. All the focus on Bam avoiding fouls has caused him to play or appear to play soft around the basket. Only one rebound.
Defense is no better now than it was a month ago. AAU ball, guards shooting everything. Bam not involved. Looks like a McDonald's all American game.

Our defense is pathetic. KenPom now has UK at #12 and after this game it will probably drop to outside top 15
It's a shame that bigs in the SEC have to play defense like that. Watch other league games and see how active those bigs are allowed to be.
The SEC has a bunch of whistle happy officials.
But Bam still has to protect the rim from the weakside better.
I'm guessing that Bam has been told to avoid fouls because we have no decent replacement. Consequently, his defense is very weak.
