UTM playing out of their mind and down by 15. The game in a nutshell.
bam almost a double double at halftime. 8 and 7. kid is a warrior on the boards
First half takeaways - Nice having 'Toine on the call. 3pt and transition D = bad. Need to get that ironed out. Perimeter D and our transition game is great. We are deeeeeep. 15 pt lead against a disciplined vet team like UTM, should be better, but considering the great effort they put out, I'm satisfied with it.

He can shoot . Literally half of misses from 3 have been half way in and popped out. I trust him shooting as he has proven in HS ( and our preaseason) he can shoot he just has had a bad stretch . He is a great shooter especially from 15 feet in but he is about mid 30's from 3 for his career. Same thing as Briscoe you had these people saying briscoe sucked at shooting when in reality he just had lost confidence . He got it back now I want him to shoot enough to keep the D honest .
Still waiting for that one guy who was so adamant we should bench Ban for Hump to come out of the woodwork but...alas
yeah, i think i saw 3 rebounds which he would usually not get because he's been afraid to pick foul. Looking so much better. I'm not worried about his missed bunnies. I mean, we seen this exact same thing before with KAT and AD.

Our team defense has sucked past two games tho. I want Briscoe back.

Defense has lacked tonight but Briscoe is out. He is one of the best defenders on the team especially around the perimeter.
This UTM team is good though . They are type of team who will be 14 seed and upset someone .
They are playing over their heads BUT out 3 point D has been lacking compared to what it usually is. A lot of these 3's they're making are crazy contested step-backs. That won't last
That's something I had to remind myself. He changes so much with his defense, lay up making, getting other team in foul trouble and UK in the bonus, rebounds and 50/50 plays

Lot of eye-popping stats from that first half. Fox leads them all with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists. Adebayo is quickly nearing a double-double with eight points and seven rebounds.

Exactly. He's the best defensive player on the team regardless of position.
How do you know? They only played 6 games so far and are 5-1. A little to early to say they won't make it.

I'm so anxious to see what Gabriel is going to contribute in March. He'll be a match-up nightmare for opposing teams.

this. we're playing a decent team who if gets an uninspired effort from the opposition could beat someone in march.

They won't make the tournament. They are projected to go 8-8 in the Ohio Valley Conference. More than likely Belmont is winning that conference.
