Still having trouble with interior defense. Bam needs to learn to set his feet on the baseline...UK needs him to be a defensive stopper under the rim
Think he's been given a lot of reps defending the perimeter, which he's shown strong ability to do as a big guy.
He's also not a shot blocker like we're accustomed to having, which I think is why Cal likes Gabriel on the floor so much and why our athletic guards are such a needed bonus.
I also think by the end of the year Bam will be a solid shot blocker. He's got all the tools and Cal and KP have too good a track record, even with undersized or under talented guys.
But it'll be a process. These kids can't learn and master everything all at once. Thankfully there's no one better at this particular process than our coach.
