Feel better now. Cincinnati doesn't have the firepower if we can extend this lead. Come out with a little run to get up 12 or so and we'll be in pretty good shape.

Despite it all up by 7 at the half. An awful one. 9-11 from the line. Only place they've played well. I've lost all confidence in Booker because I think he's lost confidence in himself.

Some posters should just stay away during a game. They fail to realize it's 40 minutes. We can look like crap one minute, dominate the next. Saying we won't win it all because a sloppy 10 minute stretch in the round of 32? Sure.

Booker has no confidence now. His shot is off, and he seems nervous every time he gets the ball. Called for a reach in on UC's last possession. We need him to get going.

I am fine with winning and Booker not hitting, I pray we make it to INDY and then he heats up.

Cal is 100% right with his halftime comments...don't give them open 3's and don't let them get easy layups off turnovers and offensive rebound layups and we should be fine.

cal is going to grind this out. it's the tournament and i for one expected the low scoring. if they want to milk the clock fine. cal is right. they gonna have to shoot against 7 footers at some point. they are bricking their perimeter shots left and right.

I agree. They may be "slowing it down", but it's a very aggressive slow-down, physically speaking. However, they have pretty good depth, so we may both be wrong. And, this is a win-or-go-home, so adrenaline may help.

If we can hit a few threes and force them to play out and not sag, we'll take over. Good to see Aaron hit a couple, but we really need Booker - he needs to just keep shooting them and not think.

People that complain about the announcers cheering for the other team crack me up. Of course they are, it makes for exciting TV. They're not journalist, they're tv personalities. It's their job. People love watching an underdog win and they are playing up on that angle.

Yeah, its annoying, but whatever.

I don't get the same feeling about this. I think that they are getting more openly-excited because they're trying to build up the viewing audience for a possible upset. I don't think that they are purposely and personally hoping UC wins it, but rather are just doing their jobs in hyping the viewers for the drama.

D is good. Crank it up one notch in 2nd and UC is in trouble. They are having to expend all kinds of energy on every play.

First Half Stats.

UK shot 34.5 percent for the half, but made 4 of its last 6. Cats have a 19-15 rebounding edge, 7-4 in turnovers.

A couple of gimmes don't go in for us and a couple laughers roll in for uc...that's the way it goes.

Bottom line is we need to finish at the rim and block out better and we beat the spread.

push the lead to 12 or 13 by the first media TO in the second half and UC will wilt. Let UC cut it to 3 and we will sweat it out the whole game.

I agree with you. I've had no problem with the way they are calling. If the seeds were reversed, they'd treat us the same way.

You're right. But that doesn't make it any less annoying as a Kentucky fan.

its one thing to get excited about the game being close or underdog making a play. what spanarkel has been doing is on another level. this from a guy who doesnt care who wins or notices this type of thing. btw, its his job to comment on the game and bring insight. not coach.

Agree. The first 5 minutes are huge. They can't come back if we get a comfortable lead.

You said it K-Town. I've told myself, if the game is close, I won't get nervous until 5 minutes left in game. Charles Barkley said KY isn't playing well, I think their defense is good today.

It's much the same as complaining about the refs.
