Nik brings so much more to the table than Sarr. When Sarr drives when he reaches the paint his steps begin to look like someone walking in 6 inches of mud. Also he’s really weak. Knocked off balance so easily.
Cam Boozer is good.

Cam is so freaking special. We won because he’s so smart and unselfish, Jon went zone, and Foster played like a man the last 8 minutes.

Last year's team was more talented but this year's team has the"it" factor.

7 deep but really 6 deep down the stretch of games. Sarr not quite ready for big time CBB. Still needs strength and poise to hit shots in pressure situations.
Boozer is a phenomenal player. Dude has everything. Will be a force in a few years in the NBA. But will need him to stay healthy and to not get in foul trouble.

I think everyone can agree it’s Nik over Sarr. I know I’ve been critical of Sarr but he’s just not ready and I cringe every time he gets the ball. Hoping this is a confidence builder for Nik.
Happy for Foster I have admittedly not been the biggest fan of his. But he's improved and is now a seasoned guard. We needed a 3rd weapon and if Nik can be that that helps a lot as Sarr slowly comes along.

Yes but Cayden will be needed- especially with Sarr giving us almost nothing. Will need someone off the bench outside of Maliq.
It’s very possible we could start 18-0, which would be the best start in Duke history.

Caught an NBA game at the gym. Jalen Johnson is really good wow. Not a lot of defense being played by either team. Reminded why I only watch the finals. As soon as its clear the defender is getting the rebound everyone runs back the other way. It is strange like an all star game.
Johnson is talented, but he also Quit on the Blue Devils 2020-2021 Team something Hurt, Goldwire, Moore Jr., Mark Williams, Roach, Steward, Brakefield, and Coleman didn't do.
I don't consider Johnson a Blue Devil, because he "chose" to shut down his season once 2021 rolled around. The rest of the guys were fighting to make the NCAA Tournament and would have potentially Earned a bid had they defeated Florida State in the ACC Tournament Semi-Finals.

I don't like what he did either. It is just surprising that he is better in the NBA than nearly all our guys except maybe Tatum and Kon and Cooper.
Johnson looks like he is headed towards his first All Star selection this season. At the moment though, I wouldn't put him above Banchero, Ingram, Zion, or Barrett (yes I know all of these guys have had injury issues). All of these guys minus Barrett have been named NBA All Stars in the past. Ingram and Banchero have had Playoff Moments as well.
I too don’t consider Johnson a Blue Devil, and he doesn’t have near the accomplishments of some of the others listed above.
But he is REALLY good and having an incredible season. He’s having a better season than any Blue Devil since Tatum is out. Hes playing like a top 15 player in the league and took off once Trae Young got hurt who they need to trade.
