Gutted out a win. Turnovers early and missed Ft’s late were the issues tonight. Cayden was great down the stretch. Sarr didn’t have a great game but this was a great learning experience for him, he’s gonna be a key guy in March.

I love Cam Boozer. But ESPN loves to slobber about him while not mentioning Evan’s once after the game, that corner 3 at the end was massive.

He's so calm out there. Both Boozer's seem to play with a calmness out there

Sarr needs to work on his free throws. Think he's around 50% this year. He won't be closing if he can't make free throws.

My guess is we will need one of our guards (Sarr, Foster, Boozer) to become a stud to make the final four. But I like what I see so far.

I saw somewhere on Twitter that he was a +17. I haven't seen the box score but it seemed like we did really well with him out there

Correct. +17 with Cayden and -1 with Foster.

I like what I see so far. They are playing tough, and unselfish. The Boozer brothers? Like @The Only Blue says, they play with a calmness out there. These two know how to win. Four state titles during high school.

The slow starts are frustrating, and we had the same issue last year early on (UK, Kansas, Auburn, Louisville). When Jon took Caleb out and inserted Sion in, that seemed to eliminate that issue. Was C Fos actually the issue or did our young team just happen to figure things out in mid December?

We have the exact same issue this year, and if this trend happens against Arkansas too, I think Little Booz should begin to start.

I don’t think Scheyer will start Cayden over Foster. Cayden’s defense needs some work and Foster needs to keep his confidence up. I liked having them on the court together at the end of the game. Jon coached a good game last night.

Sarr won’t be closing if he can’t make his layups .
Foster imo will continue to start while Cayden progresses at the college level . He was able to score because they were too busy trying to watch Evans and Foster and Double team Cameron . His IQ to acknowledge that and see it is what amazed me . Most freshman pass the ball or commit turnovers he simply took over

I’m actually not a huge Sarr fan, I see the potential but he’s raw and he’s weak in his drives.

I’d start Nik to be honest, at this time he’s better than Sarr except defensive length in my opinion.

This team can win it all, I love the ball movement, it’s better than last season, more consistent.

Think you have a start foster just for his confidence. He got his starting job taken last year and if it happens this year, I think his confidence will be shot. Jon will have to balance it out between the two.

I thought Sarr's And-one drive yesterday was maybe the strongest drive anyone made in the game. I think his issues are over-dribbling, poor FT shooting, and not hitting the wide-open corner 3 at a high enough percentage....yet. It's obvious his potential is through the roof, so I'm willing to live with some early season headaches if he can scratch that potential later in the season. His defense alone should keep him starting for now.

I like Nik's role of coming off the bench as a sort of calm stabilizer. Him and Cayden Boozer are our weakest 2 defenders, I don't think Jon likes having them on the floor at the same time against good teams.

That was a good drive and finish, but more times than not it seems his dribble is lost or raked from him.

His handle right now is a lot like Tatum was, too high and wide.

I’m ok with him starting but at the moment he’s not better than Nik. All things considered they’re pretty equal.

At the end of the day, in my opinion I really don’t care who starts. It’s much more important who’s in there at the end.

It is not a requirement to start those who are considered the five best.

just my observation, but imo the team is Further Along at this point in the season in contrast to last season. Last season in the early part of the season Duke failed to close out the games where they faced adversity in the closing minutes: Kentucky and Kansas. Imo Foster has been playing well so far. He has hit some shots in the closing minutes against both Texas and Kansas.

I was disappointed in the interior and transition defense Duke played last night. Also, Duke's 1st half careless turnovers were aggravating to watch.

Duke's ball movement on the offensive end has looked really good through the first 5 games of the season. Unselfish ball club which will only improve throughout the course of the season.

I've never been Chris! I've heard Awesome things about Niagara Falls though.
