I think with Mills it's his ability to attract kids, see their potential, and actually develop it. Because there's no one that looked at Max Abmas out of HS and said they could build a Sweet Sixteen team around him. In that regards, Mills is a bit like Self was in the early days. For the 1st time in a long time there are players on the ORU team that TU fans would like to see in a TU uniform. I mentioned in another thread that Haith doesn't seem to have the patience or desire to help a kid with potential develop into a good player and they leave after a year at TU. We've had some PGs recently who fit this who I felt had the potential to develop into good players. Some of this is probably on Haith and some on the kid's impatience and wanting to start right away. Haith seems to want kids to be all conference type players right away.
