You can't defend guys making 28-30 footers. They made 6-7 crazy 3's tonight. Not defending the bad play, but some of this is just crazy baskets being made
Cal is gonna count this as a loss. FTs and rebounding saved our butts. Which is a good sign.

It truly is amazing how some random scrub from podunk University comes into Rupp year after year and absolutely lights us up, all while nobody on our team can throw it in the ocean.

Hagans ended up with a lot of points, but he did not play well.
Hagans and NR over 20 pts and NR with a double double.
At least he gives effort. A couple of those fouls were on players who had gotten past our other defenders.

I'm not as confident. I think this team has too many flaws.
I think Hagans goes brain dead too many times and I think he turns the ball over too often.
Plus, he can't shoot.
It reared its ugly head in the E8 last year (combined with the many missed free throws by pj) and I bet it happens again. He's our lead guard and his head is in the clouds too often.
I have zero confidence this team gets it done. We have no dogs on this team. The big dog we could have had is playing for Florida.

Evansville lost to SMU at home tonight, 59-57. SMU isn't a bad team by any means, they're 4-0 now but Evansville probably won't even finish at .500 this season. Ugh. That loss still sucks and UK struggling tonight doesn't make me feel any better about it, especially with them losing tonight.
Exactly. He was 3 for his first 19. Then hes making 28-30 footers. UK didn't play all that well, but UVU was making shots they usually miss.

Without that kid hitting damn near half court 3’s all night we blow THEM out. It goes both ways. He’ll be 0-12 from three point range next game.
