Looking at one of those bracketology websites, Rutgers is among only 21 teams that they give a 1% or better chance to earn a one seed in the tournament. Overall it says we are 87% likely to make the tournament while Indiana is 97% likely to make the tournament. Funny because we have the same record and we beat them badly head to head. They've got better OOC wins.

I looked at how the first weekend geography will play out with the current projected seeding per bracket matrix last night.

As a 4 seed (or better) we'd 100% be in Albany.
As a 5 seed we'd likely be in Albany, possibly Orlando

As a 6-8 seed we'd be somewhere other than Albany.

And I don't see that really changing, unless UConn gets back to winning ways and ends up as a 3 seed (or better).

A potential second round game vs Gonzaga (currently a 3 seed) would be amazing and maybe a better matchup for RU.

Rutgers' average seed on bracketmatrix.com (79 brackets) is 5.53. The majority of the brackets have Rutgers as a 5th or 6th seed. There are a few that have them as a 7th. Only Bazinga Bracketology has Rutgers lower as an 8th seed.

CBS has Palm's updated bracket. He has us as a 7 playing Nevada. He had us at 5 going into the weekend.

Would seem in above scenario that RU should be in the East and San Diego in the west? Would that be the pods and Albany?

Is Purdue our only LOCK so far.....21-11 they are still in
Fast forwarding less than 2 week and we’re in much better position.

Wins @ projected 1, projected 5, projected 7 and @ projected 9 is a solid body of work.

It’s too bad Rider lost that game to Prov on opening day but they still have a good chance to make the field along with UMass Lowell.

Wachtel has us as a 6 still, albeit the lowest 6

crunching my numbers now....6/7 lines are all close. 4 Big 10 schools all on those lines. I see Jerry Palm dropped us to 9 but he has been the low end all year

Ru is going to have a tough time getting back to 5. Hopefully we do enough to stay on the 6-7 line to avoid the 8-9 line but I am not convinced

Negative of our remaining schedule is that it feels like not many opportunities to move up in the seedings. I'd take a 6 seed now

But the positive is our schedule seems easier than most of the rest. NW still has a very tough go. Illinois and Indiana tougher.
MSU and Maryland seem on the easier side too. Just win!!

Every year this dude underrates Rutgers and I don’t understand the beef tbh.
