No, that’s an actual truck. Slow night on 11th street.
I told people that in the prediction thread but we were reading our own press clippings
It helps to have an offense that, you know, makes plays and has more than one obvious option on a play.
My comments this morning in the Alley after watching all of their previous games:
I would not just assume this to be a win.
Scottie Montgomery is not the coach anymore. And the new guy had a great record at James Madison.
They’ve got a QB with NFL talent and frame and a serviceable true freshman behind him.
They signed the number one RB in South Carolina last year and he’s playing but third string. Man does he have lightning lateral quickness. Two inches and 15 lbs heavier and he would Be at Alabama
Theyve got two solid WR and the third guy is averaging like 25 yards a catch.
The defense was a cluster the first few games but that looks like just them being tentative in a new system. The last couple of games they’ve relaxed and improved. We should still be able to run to the edge. They look very vulnerable there and tackle poorly in space generally.
Still very winnable. But don’t be surprised if this game is close through three quarters if we play tentative or Smith has ball security issues.

Right now our offense looks as inept as it did against OkState. I doubt ECU’s got anywhere near the defensive talent OkState has, so maybe it’s our offense and the play caller not having any idea how to adjust to what ECU is doing on defense.

ECU had put someone over the top. They are lining up differently but running the same blitz with a lineman stunt mixed in. They know Smith has a set place he wants to be at in the pocket and our running a blitz right through that gap. This also limits running lanes and ECU has just been making the tackles on runs.
Will our offensive genius figure out a fix? That or we will have to make those 3-5 yard catches all game.

We are year after year one of the worse in penalty yards, that isn't a good play, its dumb and gives yardage for no damn reason. It shows zero discipline.
