Official '26 PSU - USC game thread

[Big_O]

Game over.

[psu0408]

3rd down, rush 3 and the back 8 can’t cover anyone

[Player2BNamedL8r]

No pressure on him at all!!

[KingLando]

Sigh

[CoolBean]

No pressure on the QB, too easy...TD

[EricStratton-RushChairman]

Coaches Suck, Players Suck, We Suck... just a bunch of average guys with piss poor coaching

[Nittering Nabob]

3rd and goal and you have 3 DL men and no blitz.

D'Anton is an idiot

[Moogy]

We have 12 guys in coverage and we still can’t cover 5 guys.

[MtNittany]

No pass rush = no wins.

[Efejle]

Absolutely zero pass rush all night. Pathetic.

[TheWizardofCamelot]

The worst front seven I’ve ever seen at PSU.

[Nothing Special]

Gave up 6 and over 300 yards in the air, but real nice stare down on the 2nd down play.

[Paws057]

Why are they only rushing three?

[pennstatefan111]

Lynn should be gone after this game.

[PAgeologist]

I see nothing has changed. Defense gives up an easy score after an offensive score. Seen that a bunch.

[creamery freak]

The 3 man rush by PSU on 3rd and longs has been stellar for USC

[DaytonRickster]

This is the worst LB group I’ve seen at PSU. Can’t remember a group that couldn’t pursue a ball carrier nor drop back and cover. This is brutally bad.

There will have be ALOT of portal additions for so many positions: OL, DL, DE, LBer, QB (because we have not seen Manske play). Kraft better get off his duff and get more NIL $ or he needs to go.

[BobPSU92]

We might not make the playoff at this rate.

[KingLando]

I'm not sure why the "we're going to get blown out" crowd is complaining right now
We're infinitely better than you all expected

[Tom McAndrew]

Mosley's catch on the most recent USC drive:

[PSUfreak2008]

We suck at football.

[Efejle]

He literally has 10 seconds to throw per drop back. Not a single one of these bums better be on that field next year

[Paws057]

A slight glimmer of hope then throw to the rocks again....Lol

[DaytonRickster]

The 3 man rush by PSU on 3rd and longs has been stellar for USC

Lynn being owned by Riley.

[cntblvitsbutter]

At this point, I think it's fair to start wondering about how bad next year will be.

[m.knox]

No pressure on him at all!!

Remember, PSU needs big fat DT's to compete in the Big Ten..... LOL...

That's Matt Campbell's Franklin moment.

[AvgUser]

Nail. Coffin.

[Marshall2323]

I don't like a two LBer defense.

This offense would be even more deadly with a 3RD LB On the field. You don't want a LB on a slot receiver in man.

The worst front seven I’ve ever seen at PSU.

Not a crazy thought.

I have a crazy agenda the next few hours, so I'm starting the 2026 PSU - USC game thread a little early. It's the Whiteout, the weather is great, and there are a slew of recruits attending the game. Hopefully, PSU's coaches and roster will rise to the occasion, and play up to their potential...

MC's gonna have to look in his big binder for the next OC/DC.

[TheWizardofCamelot]

I don’t think Lynn is confident in rushing 4 nor blitzing. He’s taking his chances with 8 in coverage.

Speaks more to the confidence in getting someone in the backfield more than anything. Outside of maybe Rojas, who has the talent to get home to the QB.

Brutal to watch. Especially with this school’s history of pass rushers.

[JoeBot409]

This is a Pat Narduzzi defense… bad

[Moogy]

The reality is, whatever Lynn is trying to implement … and I don’t agree that it’s the right thing, but even if it was … these guys either aren’t the right fit for the scheme, or they haven’t been coached up enough to implement it.

And I don’t think it’ll get much better.

[Nittering Nabob]

MC's gonna have to look in his big binder for the next OC/DC.

Unlike BGJ, he seems averse to firing employees.

[Marshall2323]

Why are they only rushing three?

Because they are carving us up when we blitz so dropping 7 or 8 is the alternative. The QB Is comfortable and in rhythm. Not good right now.

[JoeBot409]

Peoples is terrible too. Hole blind and indecisive.

[JoePaMajorCFBrecord409Ws]

USC up to 400 yards of Total Offense - they're probably good for a couple more TDs even if we kick a couple more FGs....... brutal.

How many times has Lynn pulled the wrong lever on 3rd-&-long rushing only 3? Brutal.

[Midnighter]

Hey finally getting to tune in…..oh.

[cntblvitsbutter]

He could barely throw it 30 yards downfield.
