Official '26 PSU - USC game thread

[Tom McAndrew]

PSU with a 26-yard FG, to make it 24-23, USC, with 14:52 left in the 4th qtr

Disappointing to not get a TD on what was an excellent drive, until PSU got to the USC 12

[Player2BNamedL8r]

Gonna need more than FGs

[Calabrin]

Desperately need a turnover here.

[Marshall2323]

Give the team credit for competing. Not like last week.

[Ludd]

Gonna be down 8 soon.

[Moogy]

Brahmer’s issue is he’s not 25 feet tall. He needs to work on that.

[Ludd]

Desperately need a turnover here.

We don’t get those.

[Calabrin]

For sure. If they had played like this last week, it would have been competitive.

[DaytonRickster]

Gonna be down 8 soon.

I don't like a two LBer defense.

[Marshall2323]

Example of blitzing leaving a window to dump a pass.

[Nothing Special]

Down 1, 4th quarter, Rojas not on the field.

[Phils rug]

Come on D

[SkiSkiSki]

Iron sharpens iron?

Butter knives dull butter knives.

[m.knox]

I don't like a two LBer defense.

Especially when 50% of them are #8.

[DaytonRickster]

Gonna be down 8 soon.

No pressure on the USC QB

[BobPSU92]

Our ”defense” just doesn’t get off the field until the other team scores. They’re awful.

[Nothing Special]

This is like throwing against air

[Marshall2323]

Good coverage. Great catch

[WestSideLion]

That last FG really damaged PSU’s chances in this game. Campbell’s expression said it all.

I don't understand what lynn is doing. We're in the same base defense all night. Bring pressure. Do something to try and make a play.

This is like throwing against air

Air provides greater resistance

Yup. Can't win shootouts with field goals.

[Moogy]

I bet our safety could have defended that pass if he had pants on, and not daisy dukes.

[TheWizardofCamelot]

This is the worst LB group I’ve seen at PSU. Can’t remember a group that couldn’t pursue a ball carrier nor drop back and cover. This is brutally bad.

[PSUfreak2008]

I think we all know how this is gonna end. The moral victory crowed is gonna love this one though

They need to go back to ISU's 3-5-5 and its culture... lol..

Or tackle. Can't do that either.

Can 2 be considered a group?

We could cry about it, or we could just accept that we’re not very good, and the most we can hope for in the short term is somewhat competitive games. Either way, what’s going to happen is going to happen.

[cntblvitsbutter]

Guess it doesn't matter if you're old if you can't play.

No moral victories. It’s easy to see how outmanned we are on D, and Becht is a mediocre QB at best. We need better Jimmy’s & Joe’s.

[PAgeologist]

3-5-5? They would still get run over.

[psu0408]

Maiava can run that RPO every play, no pressure and LBs will bite and leave the middle open.

[Efejle]

Cue the "i love the fight" crowd

Poz have any eligibility left?

[JoePaMajorCFBrecord409Ws]

Right on que, our sieve defense shows up coupled with our inept redzone offense..... Trading FGs for USC TDs..... game over.

[Big_O]

They need to go back to ISU's 3-5-5 and its culture... lol..

D might play better if they had 13 guys on the field.

[BobPSU92]

Our “defense” can’t stop a cold.

[cntblvitsbutter]

I've never been less surprised than by that TD pass.

[Tom McAndrew]

TD, USC, on a 10-yard pass.

With the PAT, it's 31-23, USC, with 11:11 left in the game
