Question for folks who know better, and sorry if this has been mentioned, but why does the field look so rough? Normally our turf grass folks have the field pristine regardless of weather, but half the field looks dead today.
And we've learned that Klatt has a man-crush on UCLA's DE ( #2) and Alex Rodriguez.
I don't know definitively. My guess would be that they had over a week of rain, and either the rain, or the tarp on the field for too long to protect against the rain, may have caused the field to look less than pristine.

It never "recovered" from last week. At least that is what the PSU radio guys said during pregame. There was a lot of rain during the last week.
We have had 4 home games in 5 weeks. Lotta use and not much regen time.
I agree. If I'm the producer in Joel's ear, I'm asking him to explain why that's not roughing.

I’m not even at the game and I’m sick of what they play on the PA system 75% of the time while we are on defense. “Make some noiiiiiise!” Do something different.
One of the more boring Penn State games I can remember watching but at least it's a W and no one got hurt. On to Troy!

I don't remember the field looking this bad. Perhaps Neeli is a water conservationist.
There was about 1.5 inches of rain in the last week. If it was dry it was not because they wanted something else.
