Official 2023 PSU - Rutgers game thread

[Midnighter]

3rd and 6 or more - watch out for the run.

[CDLionFL]

Did we not get the scouting report about their only threat being their running QB??

First Kobe and then Elsdon...totally lost at the 2nd level.

[Midnighter]

Crap - called it. Or T Frank did on the podcast this week.

[CDLionFL]

If @Midnighter Bar is open, I'd like to do a shot every time the Stadium PA plays Ozzy's ALL ABOARD HAHAHAHAHA...we're up to 4 times already on this drive.

Now up to 6

[ManxomeLion]

Sure seems that running on 3rd down is Manny's Achilles heel.

[step.eng69]

Shiano is giving Franklin a clinic

On holding?

[LionsAndBears]

They've run the same 3 plays over and over on this drive.

[CDLionFL]

Thanks to Rutgers #70 for killing that drive.

[Paws057]

Time to wake up boys!

[Big_O]

Obvious holding call certainly helped the Penn State defense this time.

[step.eng69]

I guess the offense better start clicking

[BobPSU92]

Time for our offense to step up.

[BobPSU92]

“Why is there a curve down there?”

During our game. Jesus.

[Nittany1865Farmer]

Stadium crew better dump Ozzy Osbourne and start playing something else, like Baby Shark or Hanson, because that's what PSU's play has been looking like so far.....

[Big_O]

I’m waiting to see what our new offensive brain trust cooks up.

Also, players need to execute and play competently.

[Paws057]

The Giraffe is on the loose!

[maypole]

Predictable play calls. What else is new?

[Midnighter]

They've run the same 3 plays over and over on this drive.

Worked for Michigan.

[Midnighter]

[CDLionFL]

OMG, a crossing pattern???

[Big_O]

Offense so far is meh.

[s1uggo72]

I think we should look at Rutgers OC for us

[ManxomeLion]

Offense so far is meh.

Meh is a definite step up from ughh

[ManxomeLion]

Ciarocca, installing his scheme via zoom during the Covid season, scored more points against UM and OSU than Yurcich did this season. An intriguing "what could have been"

[Alphalion75]

Execution.

[Big_O]

The attempted TD pass has to be thrown to back corner.

I’m haunted by memories of him using Levis like a battering ram.

[Midnighter]

Michigan down 0-3 to Maryland….

[psu31trap]

Drew Allar effective running the ball.

[Nitt1300]

TD Penn State- how disappointing

[anon1786720894]

Offensive JUGGERNAUT!

[Midnighter]

There we go!

[Midnighter]

TD Penn State- how disappointing

[LionsAndBears]

We might lose Singleton after the season. Allen is the more pure runner and Singleton isn't going to stay on our sidelines.

Apparently so was Levis...

[laKavosiey-st lion]

something I’ve really enjoyed all year is how our OL takes running plays off. It really showcases our 4/5 star running backs creativity.

[Big_O]

Offense reminded me of a 1970s JoePa offense.

[CoolBean]

Did they score, I took a nap and 8' later, TD

Unless we get better OL performance doesn't really matter who the RBs are. Also WRs and TEs are not blocking well in the running game.

[Alphalion75]

The penalty is our best weapon. Keep those yellow flags flowing.
