I think that our offense is better than it's been in years and that this will be the best offensive line that we've had in several years. I'm basing this on the fact that we had 356 total yards against a decent defense in the first game out. We had a RB go for over 100 yards too. That's improvement and we can expect further improvement as the year goes on.

In year's past, how many times has our team been like Cincinnati and not been able to move the ball much other than having a QB scramble & pick up a bunch of garbage yards? And I'm impressed that we've been able (so far) to line up under center without the threat of a running QB and still gain yards on the ground! It's been a long time since we've been able to do that.

We converted on 2nd and 3rd down in the second half.

Elijah is a true prophet. Ahab and Jezebel are leading their people under the wrong prophet.

Offense was in the bottom 25% of college football the last two years so I think you are right. But I think you need to accept that Cin has lost 5 in a row and aren't good...giving up 7 ypc on defense isn't random or bad luck...they gashed us.

We'll see how they fare against Michigan, but these next two games better show an offense that can control the game for 40 minutes and get a lot more points for the effort.

It's true that when I say that we're better, I am not comparing it to a whole lot. Frost may have had a team or two that ultimately will have better stats but I think a lot of the rushing yards were just off QB runs and scrambles. I think it says something to be able to line up under center and hand it off-- Cincy ain't Michigan or Penn State but I think that Bearcat defense would hold up well against most Big 10 teams.

The defense may have taken a step back but the offense will be better and the special teams will be a lot better.

I get what you're saying, and 7 ypc is not good, but over 100 yards of that came on nondesigned quarterback runs.

Also, this talk about Cincy losing their last 5 games and not being a good team is hard to tell week 1 of the football season. Teams can turn it around quickly, especially in this day and age of football. Look at FSU this year, I think we can all agree FSU will be a good team and they lost 10 games last year. Let's hold judgments until at least a few games have been played.
