Offensive and Defensive Line Recruiting

I know we've been very fortunate (quite frankly I've been cheering "hip hip hooray") after getting verbals on the offensive side of the ball from KJJ, Gebbia, and McQuitty. I know it's only April, but I just have a general wondering:

I'm just curious if anyone knows how Coach Cav and Coach Parrella are doing in their respective areas of pipeline recruiting. This does not mean I'm worried about it or the coaches' abilities. Traditionally, we have recruited well on the lines, but how will Cav and Parella's recruiting fit the schemes we run under Riley? Does anyone have insight beyond basic knowledge on the difficulty of recruiting lineman in today's landscape? Is it harder to snag them than the plethora of skill position recruits and will the satellite camps nullification hurt our line recruiting?

For OL, we're in good shape on the interior. We could fill up with good interior lineman from this years in-state crop by themselves, and we've got a few others we're after as well. Other than that, we'll wait and see. There's 3 or 4 OTs who have solid interest, but most are outside the 500mile radius. DL - Parrella has made a difference but it's still early. There's not much at all inside the 500 mile radius this year (unlike last year where there were multiple blue-chippers). Parrella's experience with JUCOs in his earlier coaching career should be beneficial. We're in on at least one JUCO DT. He has the attention of some top HS DL prospects, but they're almost exclusively outside of the Midwest. Hopefully he'll convince a few of them to visit and then we'll take our chances.

Did not realize Parella's scope in JUCO. That's some good stuff of which I was not aware. It's equally good that top DL recruits are at least thinking of visiting us as opposed to last year's lack of them. Hopefully they come for the Oregon game. The weather is just about damn-near perfect every year the third home game of the season which only helps the staff. Hope some of those guys visit. I feel like DL is one of the biggest priorities for February 2017. I also feel like JP will get the job done well.

On the OL side of the ball, it really does seem like we have a decent 2-deep rotation. With scarce top talent inside the 500 radius, it will be tougher I'm sure. But OL seems to be in decent shape.

The need is more specific along the offensive and defensive lines. Nebraska needs offensive tackles and defensive ends. One interesting tidbit about the 2016 class is Farniok's alleged growth spurt. He has reportedly grown to 6'7. At the beginning of his senior year he was about 6'4 1/2.
