Offense or Defense? Which one..

is easier for a freshman to learn or start at in college? I feel offense because you know what the play is and where you are going. Defense.. you have to pick itup quick. Especially secondary.

Depends on the position, but overall its definitely offense. You can control what a freshman is doing on plays on O. You cant do that on D, unless its a speed rusher on third down and you can just say "sick 'im".

Running back or receiver. Because if you're talented enough to play those spots as a true freshman, you don't have to learn every aspect of the play book. They're going to likely create packages for you just to get on the field.

Lots of read and react on D for the LBs and DBs. Younger linemen have to build strength. Frosh in the skill psns on offense are a different story.

Definitely offensive studs. More technique and reads defensively. Talented athletes find their way on offense, especially on the college level.
