i don’t think it helps any school to fire a coach a third of the way thru the season….players quit, fans quit and AD’s don’t seem to be any more prepared to find the next coach. If the interim rallies the team for a few more wins, then you have pressure to hire the interim, who may be an awful candidate (see Zach Arnett and perhaps Pete Golding).
