My top food recommendation for OS is save room for dessert and go to French Kiss Pastries. There are several good places to eat but the most elite thing you can enjoy is their baked goods.
Lady May or Mosaic for lunch

Phoenecia or Field’s Italian for Dinner. Phoenecia just moved to Bienville Blvd. a few weeks ago. They have a guy that plays a saxophone just about every day.
There’s a lot of great places to eat down there. Stay away from Mary Mahoney’s, it ain’t as good as it used to be, and very overpriced for what you get.

Agreed on Lady May for lunch / brunch, and Maison de Lu for dinner. It is fantastic

Problem solved. Walked out the door of the Motorhome after dinner last night and Door Dash had delivered 30 wings from BWW. No name on the receipt, no knock on the door, nothing. Wife called BWW and they couldn’t help her. Ten wings of three different flavors even.
Years ago I went on a guys motorcycle trip for 5 days up through the Smokies. We ate our first two meals at Cracker Barrel for no other reason than convenience and proximity. One guy announced that he was already sick of Cracker Barrel so the trip became The Great Cracker Barrel Tour. For five days we ate every meal at Cracker Barrel just because we could.
I’ve heard great things about Field’s for Italian dinner. As I understand it, reservations are required.
Check the Lil Market Facebook page or give them a call to see what they’re serving for lunch that day. Cheesesteak sandwiches are really good. Smash burgers also but I don’t think it is all available daily.

Phoenicia moved to the Hwy 90. If you like a Mediterranean option, it’s superb.

All good recommendations but add the new steak house, Desi Vega, on Government Street. Pricy, but worth it if you want a very good meal. Been there twice and it was amazing both times

Walked the whole down town. Mosaic was my choice from looking at the menu online. Lady May was the Mrs pick so we compromised and are currently at Lady May. Beers good, I’ll report back on the food. FWIW, Fields smells fantastic.
Food at Lady May was excellent, probably the best fries I’ve ever had. Wife relented and we went to Mosaic for a beer. First three beers that I ordered, the kegs were empty. Finally got a Suzy-B. I don’t know what these little black biting gnats are but they are the devil!
Skip lunch and get a round in at Shell Landing. One of the best tracks in Mississippi
Didn’t bring my clubs. This was just a spur of the moment stop on the way home from a wedding in Louisiana.
Had that Monday on the way in. Brisket wasn’t great, wasn’t bad but the buns are entirely too thick.
