On fire. Hubbard is stellar, new coaching staff really running things. Got a chance to make a run this year it looks like.

Agree, defense shut George County down in the second half. Needed to tighten up on tackling in the first half but the offense is clicking 3 weeks in a row. Hubbard is a good kid and has really improved this season.

I didn’t, Meridian High actually. We have two kids in OS schools and follow all the sports teams closely, my oldest daughter is on a high school team and younger daughter will be too this year at middle. This is the best the football team has looked to me in several years.

Agreed. Best team since the year we went to the state championship against South Panola and Pegues pushed our **** in.

L was at that game. If Dortch for GC had not gotten hurt it could have been a different outcome. He lit OS up in the first half. He was averaging about 45 yards every time he touched the ball. GC was ahead 21 to 7 early in the game and it was 28 28 at the half. I don't think OS has a defense that will take them all the way.

I would agree with this also, defense is the big question mark. Dortch going out definitely changed the offense for GC but the OS defense stepped it up a notch too and started actually tackling people in the 2nd half.

Have several friends that I have coached with before on the staff and I 100% expected this. I honestly thought they would win their district last year. Blake is a great coach and motivator. He has his finger on every aspect of the program and knows what he wants. He also has surrounded himself with a great staff.
