So I was at the game in Lexington and I saw something that bothered me. I don't know if it's "you kids get off of my lawn" or not. In the fourth quarter, after they scored to make it 21-7 we were waiting for the kick. Like all stadiums, there was music being played over the loudspeakers. I looked down and saw our entire team dancing to the music, even the bench. The same thing happened when waiting for the kick down 28-7.

anybody else got an issue with all the dancing when you're playing like crap and getting your tail kicked.

I think Joe has some serious cracking down to do. Some players don't handle transition well, and it looks like the lack of mental discipline will be his first big challenge here. We saw it in the first 3 games in the form of penalties. Lots of them.

Not saying that this is the case in this instance, but this is also a symptom of a lack of senior leadership in the locker room. I hope I'm wrong.

joemo's strategy of "never let them see you bleed"...while our lifeless corpse lays in a gigantic pool of blood....but our corpse has sunglasses on and is smiling

I thought I heard our sideline announcer say the team "took serious offense" when they were shooting fireworks to start the 4th quarter. Apparently our team "was pissed" at the idea that KY was acting like the game had been decided when they fired them off.

I guess all that emotion never made it on the field. Or if it did, it was in the form of penalties.

All I know is we've got serious issues with this team. When you go out and play a game and have almost as much penalty yardage as you do offensive yardage that is a HUGE problem of a lack of offensive execution of a bad gameplan mixed with a lack of discipline which is a really terrible combination. And 56 yards rushing against a decent KY front is a total embarrassment. Can't remember ever where one game in a season reshaped my view of an MSU team so much before. At this point there is a good chance we lose to FL. If it was at FL I would think we would almost for sure lose.

I would take coach Mark Hudspeth out of the box and put him on a he sidelines to be the enforcer. It’s not like we’re using the tight ends anyway.

Does anybody know what magical song was being played, 'cuz I sho didn't feel like dancing. Not that it matters, my dancing looks as bad as State's performance in the fourth quarter.

If true.....complete BS. But a 11 post count poster leads me to believe this could be a troll.

Maybe, but any issue I would have with that is overshadowed x100 by my concern with the issues that got us to receiving a kick down 28-7 vs UK with our roster. And it wasn't just 28-7 it was 28-7 and a knee inside the 5. They could have VERY easily made it 35-7 but took pity on us.

Nevermind on the song title. It had to be this one:

Don't be salty at the players for dancing through their misery though; they probably learned it from their previous coach. He used to smile when our field goals sailed wide.

Jackie’s philosophy was somebody has to be a SOB and he looked at it as being his responsibility... that being said, when he got “soft” that’s when wheels came off

Not a troll, graduated from State in 05. Haven't posted much until recently, but I guess I'm just asking you to take my word.

When you put on a display like our team and coaching staff did on Saturday night, anything is fair for fans to question in my mind. It was an utter cluster before the first snap was made, and it somehow continued to get worse as the game went on. I don't know whether there's anything to read into from the dancing or not, but I for damn sure think that it's ok to question it. Saturday night was a complete embarrassment on so many levels...

Please submit a clear copy of your diploma and a photograph of yourself donning MSU insignias, preferably including an "MS" baseball cap showing a reasonable amount of wear.

If said photograph is shot in front of the Lyceum, in the Grove, at the entrance to the "Walk of Champions", in Rebel Alley, or on the Square or it shows you wearing a bowtie, wearing loafers, or reading the Bearion Ledger, you will be deemed a "nafoomer," which is punishable by a lifetime sentence of watching Ole Miss football. ***

If your documents pass muster, you will advance to the round of questions:

1) Do you believe that Ole Miss has ever won a legitimate National Championship?

2) At the peak of their strength, who would win in a gladiator style fight -- Billy "Dog" Brewer or Jackie "The King" Sherrill?

3) Did you laugh or cry at the reveal of the Tony the Landshark mascot?

If you pass the round of questions, then you may enter the realm of true, vetted Bulldogs. If not, you will be deemed "nafoom-esque," and sentenced to watch a lifetime of Ole Miss football, but only the portions of the games where the offense has the ball.

If they took "serious offense" to the fireworks, then they should have taken that serious offense onto the field. Because what I saw from most of the players and staff was apathy. Hopefully that was a 1 game hiccup and the team we thought we had takes the field Saturday evening. If not we may very well be 3-3 when we play our next road game.

If I was IB I'd lock the door and put the game tape on for the players AND staff to watch in silence. My only words after that would be "that ***** not gonna cut it", then I'd burn the tape and let it never be spoken of again.

That wasn’t a hiccup, that was a full body dry heave.
