He shuts down entire beaches for his family, locks down golf courses for the afternoon and takes hundreds of security people away from their families for the holidays. I have been back and forth on who I vote for in the Rep. primary on Saturday. The whole time I have been on Trump, but the endorsements by Haley, Scott, and Gowdy have made me think about Rubio. I am on the line of thinking that I wish Trump would tone his mouth down a bit on some issues. I love what he has to say, for the most part. I made up my mind officially last night on Trump just because I am sick and tired of the way things go down in DC and truly think Trump would shake things up from top to bottom. I'm hoping he could get rid of the wasteful spending that we see all of the time and scale down the size of government once again.

Clinton got us on the right track, putting us into budget surplusses, which Bush quickly blew away and put us right back into the red. The last thing we need is to cut taxes even more while increasing defense spending (like every Republican except Rand is proposing).

Right, 19 trillion in total debt, many decades in the making. Some of these republican budgets would add $8 trillion to that total number in ONE YEAR. Pretty crazy. 2009 was a huge deficit year, but that was due to efforts to jerk us out of the Great Recession. Obama has actually reduced our deficit to a lower percentage number than when he took office; the number got lower every year under his watch. No, we didn't have any surpluses, but we've only seen 2-3 surplus years in the last 30, iirc. And that was under Clinton, of course.
